So, I've come to understand that "Darkstep" is a subgenre of DNB and not Dubstep. But, now I have no idea what to classify any of these darker grimmer Dubstep tracks found on the DarkstepWarrior's Youtube promotion site and the majoirty of the tunes release from Firepower Records. The reason I want to know what this genre is called, is so I can find more artist that make these types of tunes. Here is a list of artist that I know that make this style of dubstep, so far: TrollPhace, Rekoil, Getter, 1.8.7, Aweminus, Exude, Ranga, JPhelpz, Trampa, Algorthym, & Barron. Any help on ID'ing this genre would be great. Also if you could point me in the direction of some threads that have these types of synths that could be great to. Apparently there's been numerous threads on them, but idk which artist to look for (it seems Badklaat was popular at on point for this synth though)
Here are a few examples for those who haven't heard any of these artist:

Hard to categorise, but I think the correct title would be "fucking rubbish m7"

Distance influenced Brostep on that first track. Can't really bring myself to watch the rest.

Those tunes would be considered brostep. If you search around youtube, you will probably find more just like it.
