England will have to run much faster playing these two than they did playing France!

Looks like Arsenal have signed Giroud from Montpellier for £12m

Hope he's not another Chamakh...

Ridiculous. If 4th is good enough for Arsenal and Liverpool, why is it suddenly not good enough for spurs? I think Levy's forgotten where they were in the table when Harry took over

Well, the two seasons before that, 5th under Martin Jol.

But it IS ridiculous. It's hard to imagine a better manager than him for us at the minute, he's done exceptionally well in making us play exciting football that achieves results. Think it's another case of football going mad.

They effectively went bankrupt and couldn't find a buyer. They've had to cut wages and have been banned from buying any players for 2 years.
If it isn't sorted out soon the club will be closed down for good, stadium sold off etc.

If you manage to get David Moyes in as a replacement like the bookies are saying (I can't see it myself), you'll have a far better manager.

Gomez is dreamy. He has magic in his feet, that man.

When they were under the management of Dick Advocat a number of years ago, the club bought a number of expensive
players (Flo, Gattuso and Van Bronckhurst to name a few). To afford the expensive players wages, x amounts of a players wages were not put through the books so as to avoid paying tax on this.

Basically, they bought players they couldn't afford, avoided paying tax, have other debts they couldn't afford to pay off. Entered administration a few months ago, tried to agree a smaller payment with the unpaid creditors this has been refused, so the only way for the club to continue would be under a new company after selling off their assets.

tl;dr, they're fucked :h: :h: :h:

Yes, and my joy is with good reason:

I understand that this could be the final nail in the coffin for scottish football, but when we were hours away from dying there was no sympathy for us and none of this "we need them for Scottish football" shit that's going about with rankers. Try gloated like mad.

During the period of their crazy spending spree, David Murray (ex-Rangers chairman) said "for every fiver Celtic spend we will spend ten", the sheer greed has caught up with them and they deserve it.

R.I.P
