Keith Lemon is so not funny. Like not at all. Why is it cool to like him? He's fucking awful, and I'm way funnier than him.

I would risk playing on them. I use serato so it doesn't make a lot of difference.
I think I would prefer using cdj's with timecode cd's actually. No skipping or dirty needles that can bother you, accurate pitch, locked pitch, ...

Actually, I would like to own a set, or three. Expensive though. And I still need a new mixer.
And I reckon I'll need a new laptop for gigs in a year or two. Pffft.

If you know how to use them.........I'd say use them. Not alot can go wrong with them and alot more reliable than a vinyl turntable. Also straight CDs are alot better than timecode cds and serato/scratch IMO.

Straining when bending down to get the Maryland cookies from the cupboard isn't considered a stomach crunch.

I would actually prefer serato + cdj's above regular cd's + cdj.

One of the reasons is that your cue points, play lists and all the other information about your tunes is on your laptop. It's always there.
Sure, you can put cue points etc on your cd, but not every cdj is compatible with that information.
I've done gigs where they had the newest cdj-2000, but I've also done gigs at places where the only cdj's available were crappy Numark's or whatever that cost £100.

Another pro is that you can organize your music better, and you can always have all your music with you on your pc. And waveforms.
Only disadvantage that Serato and any other timecode system have is that you always need to set it up.

But hey, at the end of the day, everyone uses whatever he likes. As long as your mixing and selection is good I don't really care what you use.
I wish I had bought Serato when I started dj'ing though.

I've been using the search bar to try and find a good thread on speaker accuracy all morning, all i can find are threads on monitor/headphone quality.
If anyone can point this lost soul in the right direction, i'd appreciate the help.

Just to be a little more specific on my issue, i was mixing a track and it sounded find at my home setup but once i played it in my car the mix was complete shit. This is the second track the mix has been way off from what i think is the speakers i'm producing on. Btw, im using a shitty 30watt guitar amp for my mid-upper range. Then i have a decent sub that was previously used for movies/dvds.
