I'd do them both. You probably won't have too much fun with production for the first month or so. It really helps the music crave to have some tables.

just low frequencies can crack you up...

Idk if this is attended to me, but i never really said i used headphones for production. Im curious about speaker accuracy and mix quality through different systems.

maybe i just don't know my headphones that good but i don't really agree with that.
My last mix was completely mangled becuase i used headphones for the whole thing. Check you're levels through normal speakers/monitors, then use headphones to touch up on some things.
