matthew macconaughey is a bit overrated.
He is huge in true detective, dallas buyer club etc and all but he always make the same role, looks like the same character in different films. And when he does a different thing like a bit of comedy he is horrible

depends a lot in the kind of director. some directors leave a lot of freedom and others are very thorough . i don't like when actors get to much self confidence in their work and think they can direct themselves, more or less what happened with matthew.

I swear I saw an article in The Wire about someone selling a cassette incased in a concrete block so you had to smash it open to get to it. Which would probably break the tape

Along with the standard edition, there was a special edition with the regular CD, cloth, T-shirt and can of mushrooms label "Noiserooms", packaged in a box and limited to 50 numbered copies. Most infamous was the Merzcar. Label owner Anders had a rundown Mercedes-Benz 230[disambiguation needed] that he rarely drove, and the police told him to move it or else it would be towed. So he rigged the CD player to play the label's newest release, Merzbow's Noisembryo, and made it impossible to turn off or remove. He then put the car up for sale as a limited edition of one. It went unsold and eventually broke down. Anders then removed the CD player and got rid of the car.

This might be the dumbest thing of late in underground music.

New label from Vessel & Ossia, called "FuckPunk" ( ), who operate under the ethos "Get off your ass and stop making vanilla music". Not sure you can say shit like that when your first release is a Pulse edit, just cos it's on a transparent 5" dubplate.

Maybe I would've once thought this was cool, but it's just... dumb. I've only heard the tune on this instagram post, but it honestly sounds awful b2b just like any of the hundreds of other Pulse edits. But fair ones, if people like that, then that's cool. However, then to restrict it to something that will seriously degrade after a few plays is just beyond dumb. This isn't a vinyl vs digital thing, as that's been discussed many times, and I'm all in support of labels doing what they want. This just seems needlessly disrespectful tbh.

Perhaps I'm just jaded, but this is just a bit "my first cultural rebellion" for my liking. "Hur hur, let's put Bob Marley on Pulse X. Hur hur, it's the first release, but let's make the catalog number 003. Hurrrr, we're better than anybody else putting out music on dumb vinyl or digital which people will actually be able to listen to." I just wonder why they're even bothering to release it at all.
