they do let you do this. last time we snuck out for a bun (before realizing it was totally unnecessary to take such activities outdoors) the bouncers pointed us down the street and had no qualms with us coming back 10 mins later.

quite hyped for this now.

to buy drinks there /offy, or to just spend that money on some herb hmmm. are they lax enough to be cool about it in the smoking area then or is it best to be more discreet?

If it helps, leave off any zeros in front of the mobile number (eg 079....., just punch in 00 + country code + 79....)
