Well he's one of the best players in the world.
Dutch defense was just plain awful. I would have summarized the game completely different that's all.

Mine would be: Bert should have put in Boulahrouz to kick Ronaldo in the face.
Still involves Ronaldo but in a different context.

Bit of a betting related question here people...

Croatia not to qualify 5/4 at StanJames? (i.e: £50 returns £112)

Seriously thinking this is almost guaranteed? (although obviously nothing is in football)

But I can't see Spain not winning the game between the two and also can't see Italy not getting something from Ireland?

Hmmmmmmm

I wouldn't go for that if I were you. Ireland have nothing to lose so will go at Italy. Also if the Spain-Croatia game finishes 2-2 they'll both definitely go through. The conspiracy theorists will have a field day if that's the final score.

The Dutch played well for about 20 minutes... they deserved to go home. Shame.

England played incredibly badly for about 20 minutes, then this happened:

Typical luck, walcott's gone and got himself injured. We won't get away with another performance like friday, Ukraine are a better team than Sweden

Definitely... and they're the only home side left with anything to play for too. It's going to require a distinctly organised England performance. Concerning!

City opening the season against Southampton! Liverpool seem to have a difficult schedule to start with.

I could have sworn oranje was playing great all three games :) Nah not a big Ronaldo fan.
I think we played worse than Portugal played well.

That Balotelli is quite a character, nice goal today though. Hoping for Germany - Italy in the finals
but I don't think that's going to happen.

That's certainly one way of putting it.

Huge game tonight. I can't see us doing better than a draw to be honest, not against that crowd... but who knows. We've got to come out fighting again.

Sweden doing a job on France would be incredibly handy!

COMON ENGLAND. I'm in blind patriotism mode, I reckon we can pull of somethin like 2-0 tonight, seriously excited - they might have the crowd support but we have a lot of quality footballers that they can't match

This, I would much rather having to tackle Italy next round than spain, comon you hapless swedes

I'm less confident than after the France game - despite not creating much, they looked like a proper team there. The performance against Sweden was worringly flaky at times. I hope Walcott comes out looking like he's got a point to prove again... he could really tear Ukraine to bits in the right mood.

Too much Rooney hype everywhere... although we'll always need some star individuals, we've had them before and not succeeded... what we need most is a TEAM.

I'm just nervy of getting my expectations up too far... we've all been burnt before! :corncry:

The worrying thing is that England have looked second best in every game. France match was a bit more even, but still. We do hold a good shape in defence though, midfield got cut to shreds in the first half.

I wonder what the media's take on goal line technology will be now...
