...................Is there anyway to automate Ableton wobbles/whatever like you can in FL Studio? Like curves/stairs/dips instead of just stairs in ableton? I can't make smoother transitions with certain things/ and I can't make crazy wobbles anymore

Does anyone know if there is something in Ableton like the FL Studio Stereo Shaper?? To make some noises sound like they are behind you if you're wearing headphones..or pretty much opposite of mono?

nah FLs stereo shaper is alot more advanced then utility, I would just say rewire FL to use the stereo shaper and record the audio from it into ableton

take it off draw mode then delete some points and you can make slopes. but its either stairs or slopes in ableton as of right now : / .
Hold a point while holding CTRL and drag it right, it will delete all points it passes over and make a slope.
If you have max for live there is a device someone made to get curved automation though.

Alright thanks Rando. Much appreciated. I need to learn how to use Rewire...I can get FL Studio opened but what's the process for the recording? Can you send me a link of a tutorial you learned from?

Just YouTube "rewire FL into ableton". And you just set up a audio track, set the audio from to "FL" , and set up a midi track in ableton to control vst's in FL. Make a midi clip in ableton. And record the audio

Ableton Live 8 is probably the most confusing thing known to man..
Can someone PLEASE answer me these questions and don't be shy going into details.
a) When I have a, lets say, a 2 bar melody drawn out with serveral different instances of Massive or whatever, how do I merge them together and bounce them to audio?
b) Is it possible to turn on "Ghost Channels/Notes" in Ableton? Just like in FL Studio.
c) When I make a snare and layer about 4 different samples in the drumrack and are satisfied with my result, again, how do I merge them together? And is it possible to merge them together with effects on them?
I have already been answered these questions in another thread I made here on the site (got locked), but still I do not get it.

In the mixer create an audio track, show your ins and outs by clicking the I/o button in te bottom right. Then send all the you want to that bus. Arm that bus for recording and click the little record buttons in an empty clip slot on that bus. It will start recording all the audio in real time. And for the drum rack, once you've layered snares. You can drop effects right on the individual pads or right onthe whole drum rack. Let me know if you need more help. I could vid stream.

Thanks man, really helpful!
I am still wondering about the "Ghost Channels".. I can simply not live without them.

I was just searching DSF for this exact thing and ended up here-thats exactly what I'm wondering as well, is there any sort of similar feature in ableton?

If I'm reading your question right, I think all you'd have to do is turn off global quantization. The drop down for that is to the right of play/stop/record controls.
Just press the soundcloud button and put the URL between the brackets

Nah, not that I know of at least. Just stretch the one that you want to be the ghost to be really big in arrange so you can see both.
