Very interesting, thanks for posting this. For anyone interested, heres a lecture which goes into much more detail about the pyramids. It supports many of the same theories as the video posted in this thread, eg. there was a civilisation on Earth before us, and they had access to some kind of technology/knowledge that we don't yet understand. Heres the lecture:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItsM1QOL ... r_embedded
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4XnNMj9 ... re=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTH4QjSN ... re=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aSEXSZR ... re=related
Some of the basic details about the pyramids are absolutely staggering. Watch the video to see what I mean.
How the hell did ancient Egyptians knew the relative distances to stars (as some of their monuments show), and also about sacred geometry? That alone is enough to ask questions about the accepted history book theory. Even if you think this guy is a crackpot, you can't deny that we still don't know SHIT about the pyramids.
I hope we'll know the truth in this lifetime...

i don't think those scenarios are totally impossible, i think they are ungrounded as of now

I agree, that happens a lot. the media is also responsible for this of course. plenty of good ideas get thrown into the 'conspiracy theory' bin. it happens because theres usually some amount of misinformation floating alongside the facts. If one aspect of the theory can be completely disproven, most people will assume that the whole theory falls down.
the end result is that people are afraid to discuss these kind of topics, in case they get ridiculed. All you have to do is mention something about tin foil hats/little green men/terrorists, or label them as communists, socialists, new age religious nuts, hippies, blah blah. Case closed!
Some people today seem to think "we know everything" but IMO, as a civilisation we're only just taking our first baby steps. It wasn't that long ago we thought the earth was flat. Its only recently we've noticed that there are other galaxies.

let me know when something i said is incorrect and why
and whine about attacks when you won't do any
i'm after ideas usually, rarely after people, i'm sorry for anyone unable to make the distinction

i don't attack anyone relentlessly just for having an opinion different than mine
