I hope it's the filthy "rape-an-old-woman" dubstep version?

the best aspect of these youtube channels are the plethora of humorous comments that flood each tune.

"Oi mate this tune is so aggro that it made me punch ma nan"

It blatantly reveals the maturity levels of the average youtube viewer. It's not surprising that the majority of followers of brostep+ are teenagers in high school..

To be fair,
if someone is underage, lives in a rural town, uninfluenced by club culture, naive about record stores, etc. - youtube is a powerful tool for promoting popular music. However, uploading full length tracks (especially if they're forthcoming) only encourages users to rip songs off youtube. It's becoming more and more socially acceptable to do so, regardless of the sound quality.. This could perhaps be one reason behind this channel (and others) being shut down.

So many fresh high school graduates come to a dubstep party here in Perth expecting to hear the latest mid-range wobble-fest, and one can't help but connect the source to youtube. Don't get me wrong, I love mixing a bit of filth within a set.. The crowd loves it.. However, these 'harder' tunes are more effective if played in minority - and within a broadened range of styles. After hearing a night of deep sensual beats, most steppers usually are able to appreciate the myriad of approaches to this genre and can begin to acquire new tastes..

In my opinion, youtube has been crucial to the existence of the global dubstep phenomena whether you want to believe it or not. It's the duty of every producer, promoter, dj and punter a like to ensure that the sound remains fresh by exploring new ideas and broadening their tastes on multiple sources.. not just youtube

C'mon peoples it's just dubstep. Skin up, have a pint and chill the fuck out 8)

I remember when I was 16 in 1998 or so and getting cursed up and down by junglists because techstep wasn't real jungle. I was told at one point Wormhole LP was 'complete shit'.

Pretty funny how so many people have been effected by this.
There's a thousand other channels on YouTube doing the same stuff he was, god knows how/why he got so popular.
Getting bookings off YouTube fame is shit. Just like Mt. Eden, just like any reality TV '"star" getting famous, just like the rest of the losers that post personal videos on the net (Jessie Slaughter, Justin Beiber, Jenna Marbles, etc.)
It's all bull shit. Consumerism has destroyed a lot in this industry and the internet has helped it on it's merry little way.
Get off your computers and go rummage through a vinyl crate at your local, find some gold and get your own music taste. Not what every one else is telling you is good.

On the point of copyright infringement, he shouldn't have done what he did and got what he deserved. Don't know the full story but if did something morally (and legally) wrong then he should face the consequences.
/end rant

Off the back of her AWESOME youtube promotions, Ive booked Jessi Slaughter to do the 12-2am set this weekend. Think she's playing a mix of gangsta rap, redneck radio, lady gaga and the theme tune to different strokes....

Amen!

The difference is that anyone writing decent filth (or shit depending on your point of view) had a decent chance of getting some exposure on inspector dubplate whereas its all the usual political bullshit with MAHs shows - wish some kids would hurry up and bring on some decent and popular utube channels for deeper music to change this state of affairs
