Yeah, and I get to catch real life giant beetles old school style with a pint glass and a piece of paper

No in-jokes ffs
Played this for 2 hours yesterday without even firing my gun (Saving the game and then blowing townsfolk away with Grenades out of malice doesn't count). Finally done the Come Fly With Me quest, managed to slip by the Nightkin with the StealthBoy and get them to fuck off without killing anybody. Only shitter is my lack of Speech skill, been through a few scenarios now where my speech is not nearly enough.
Loaded the DLC as well, that was fucking great trekking back to a house for about 15 minutes because I was suddenly carrying about 120 more than I can carry.

Speech, Science & Lockpick I always get to 100 as soon as is possible, standard.
There is a ridiculously good sniper rifle in the south east of the map that's in a Very Hard locked case.

Don't tell me these things! I want to discover stuff for myself!
Yeah, I hacked up my survival at first coz' I was skint and eating the flesh of ants for meat, but after I discovered Caravan it seems like a fucking waste of time.

That's why I didn't give you the name of the location

It'll get even more pointless once you get to the Casinos and start raping the blackjack tables. And there are 7 snowglobes hidden across the map, 2000 caps each if you find the right person to sell them to.

When you find the Sunset Sasparilla factory, there is a quest inside there that requires collecting a certain amount.

I fucking love that game. I even sampled a few things from the "Honest Hearts" DLC, and put them in my latest track.

I've beaten all the add-ons except for the two areas I nuked at the end of the Lonesome Road.
Been stockpiling weapons, apparel and ammo. Repairing and selling items also to purchase guns that have just been added to my game via the Gun Runners Arsenal.
The Katana with all the upgrades is pretty bad ass.
Any other weapons with modifications, unique weapons or GRA weapons I should check out?
BTW I got the yellow light of death fixed on my PS3 but alas with 11mb save file my New Vegas still does slow down to extreme unplayability after a while.

Got Legion guyz waiting behind every boulder or haystack ready to pop lead into my face. Vilified by the bad guys.
After exploring for a while, I've just finished the Helios One mission, distributing the power to everywhere on the grid. Waiting to meet more followers of the apocalypse. Need 12k to buy mad rifle. Need .308 ammo as well, no tnuc seems to have any now, though.

The Legion hit squads are your key to getting the Anti-Mat rifle - loot & sell everytime they jump you.
And the Gun Runners guards are a cheap & plentiful source of combat armour...plus you don't lose any rep as they're not faction affiliated.

tbh, I quite like having a companion. I'm getting mad EXP with the Swift Learner perk, and this Boone tnuc is a dab hand when it comes to putting one between the eyes from a fair distance. The only trouble is about an hour or so back, he ran out of rifle ammo, and I have none to give him. After witnessing his Spike Dudley attempts at Melee, I've given him a 10mm Sub, but he's spraying this everywhere like a pisshead standing over the toilet bowl after a Friday night.
I've just finished his little side quest at Bitter Springs, which involved him doing nothing and me killing loads of Legion, and now he has some ghettoflex armour.
As I trudged here, I did come across some sket called Veronica who's willing to suck my Chinese dick in various locations around the map if I let her. I'm guessing you can't have more than 1 companion? And I'm guessing each companion you have has a little side quest or something?
Also, I'm level 14 now. Is this a high enough number to take on the DeathClaws yet? I hear there's going to be a mummy and daddy Deathclaw, and even though I can collectively kill one of their children with Boone, I know enough from the previous games to know that it doesn't take much more than two of them to spunk all over us.

Boone's a badman...armour wise I think my safehouse looks like the dropship from Aliens with all the combat armour they're wearing

You can only have a maximum of one humanoid companion at any one time...though there is a dog and a robot that are available so you can have 1+1.
Dead Rats wrote: And I'm guessing each companion you have has a little side quest or something?
Yes. Some of them are an utter tnuc to trigger though.

Potentially, yes. Quarry junction has some excellent sniping points IF you can get to them. Once you're there and have a decent rifle you can just headshot to your hearts content.

Hmm, Safehouse, that's a good one. I've only ever put a few bits and pieces of random shit into a footlocker at Goodsprings, I usually just collect and sell. Should maybe start planning for the future.
Got the +50 Weight Perk yesterday, it's a good one for me guys.

Once you get to Vegas itself, you get yourself a mint safehouse.

I've tried my hand at BlackJack in Primm as well, for sure this fucking game is rigged. It's like 'well, I've got twenty and that's with two aces, what are the chances of the dealer pulling another one to match her 6 and 4 OH SHIT IT'S AN ACE, GOODBYE 100 CHIPS'
It's like the game almost WANTS you to decapitate innocent people.

Told Boone to do one yesterday. Figured I'd already done his side quest, might as well take on another dogsbody, so after doing a Crimson Caravan mission, I now have some drunk slag with me. Her Perk is ridiculously shite.
Haven't yet visited the strip as such. Did visit Camp McArren, though, and now I have about 60 more quests.

Yeah, I kind of gave up talking to mandem in that place after the cook. I did get the Bounty Hunting quests, though, and I've agreed to take out 'cook cook'.
Unlike other missions, this one runs the risk of getting bum raped and then set alight if I fail. It kind of feels like if Gasper Noe directed The Running Man.
Ohh, got myself a little hideout now. Counterfeiting Cap shack, nice little bed, lockers, cabinets, empty syringes...
As I made this place my home, I headed north east a bit and then run into a young DeathClaw. Felt great killing it quite easily. Legion assassins are getting a bit next level now, though, they're unbelievably accurate and fearless.
