anyways honestly i think if there drums were complex it wouldn't go so well with the song ( just my opinion though! )
I'm listening to boom right now, and i'd say the drums go pretty good?

Agreed. Who needs complex drum patterns when you have a massive twisty bassline, their tunes are awesome.

theres one thing that most of these productions are missing: a 22,000 band limiter, with about 10 db of gain reduction on all bands.

Your twisting my point there mate. I never said their music was simple per se. My point was that there bass sounds are a little "thin", still really interesting basses but they do regurgitate the same patches over and over...this probably lends to their signature sound though. I also said their drums were a bit simplistic, That's just my opinion. I mean I have valid grounds for it, I still like a lot of their tracks and I'm still a massive douche for writing that OP, BUT i know I am. I tell it how it is y'see, even if it's self-depricating.

I feel most people who moan about brostep are the ones who try so hard but cant replicate their idols, so they get frustrated and go on these forums and moan about how 'basic' the sub genre is despite the fact they cant even do it themselves. Instead of giving the producers praise they go and attack them saying their bass sounds are recycled, or their drums arnt good enough. The simple fact is some people need to stop bitching to spend more time on their production skills rather than the forums. No offence Jay but i dont think you have a leg to stand on judging by your tracks man, you cant hate on the bro-step scene when your own bro-step doesn't even match up to the standard! Ahh dear, if you dont like it, produce somthing else man, work your frustrations into somthing usefull by maybe giving up replicating and making your OWN sounds, dont waste your time making waste threads like this one. Dubstep doesnt have to be 'bro-step', 'deep' or 'chilled', there's so many different sounds out there....better still, make your own! :W:

I found this to be the best post in the thread, and it applies to me because I can't write any sub bass music, mostly just brostep.

anyway +1

Thats, bollocks mate, the majority of people who moan about 'Brostep' generally hate the sound, especially those god awful screechy whiney ones that seem to have the same effect as running your finger nails down a chalk board.

Its not all bad, but some of it is just sooo, sooo bad.
