StepMan wrote:Well in my opinion Dub and hype are intertwined... especially since Rusko and Caspa - fabriclive 37. That had all the dub elements, heavy drops and hype party sound. I'm sure everyone on this forum will agree with me in saying that that album is dubstep and it's the shit.

You see real dubaholics just want cool songs...whether hype...bass..or both...You will know if you listen to it if the song is dope.

In my personal opinion skrillex is shit and any real dubba will agree with me. Dub Artists based in different parts of the world have a different sound...peronally I dig the croydon "Original Dub Kings" Dub However I also dig that screechy american shit.

For example: Listen to 'Skream - Dub Period' and then listen to 'Point.Blanck ft. Helicopter Showdown - Whistle Tips ' .

2 Totally different styles but You dig em' both cause they're just cool.

Dub Unite.

IT'S FUCKING DUBSTEP. Fuck my cunting life.

All these arguments and stuff just remind me of Punk, I used to get really protective cause it was mine, no one else knew about it apart from a few others, and when it became trendy I used to fucking hate it, now I'm a bit older I realise its all stupid. Same thing is happening to Dubstep ! who cares along as you know what Dubstep is then its ok really, allow all the beef alllll day on the forum !

Personally I like more hyped stuff than deep in dance music (I also produce hype stuff quite alot), but the reason why I don't like most filth tracks, is because they are way too generic and unimaginative. Whereas, if you listen to grime, it's madly hyped AND interesting - sometimes even brutally experimental. As said earlier in this thread, I have to agree that there's alot of poor deep stuff around. Faux deep tunes which are as unimaginative as most brostep tracks! No matter if music is hyped or deep, there MUST be originality and imagination.

Yeah I know this is cliched to take old DMZ dubstep tune for example, but I find this is good hype dubstep: Digital Mysikz - Lost City.
