I watched Wrestlemania VI for the first time in a good few years over the weekend... still the best, most hyped and generally awesome wrestling show ever IMHO. I was I was still 7 years old so I could watch it for the first time again. The Warrior was just SO COOL.

The 7 year old me ran twice around the bottom floor of my house.

Marked... the... fuck... out.

I wish I could still suspend disbelief like that. :|

Monsoon & Venture on commentary, a very young Earl Hebner in the ring...awesome stuff.

Reckon I did the whole cheering like a lunatic thing for this;

Yes! I pretty vividly remember the day that was on... we'd just moved to the Westcountry and my parents had taken us to to Cardiff for the day. I didn't crack a single smile until we were back on the M4 and it looked like I wasn't going to miss the first bell.

That was a pretty superb wrestling match IIRC... might have to watch the YouTube later! :h:

I have a feeling Over The Limit might actually be quite fun.

Kofi and Truth to retain.
Kharma to interrupt the divas match
Brock to interfere in Johnny/Cena... maybe Big Show to level things up. After all, they're 'not employees'... I assume Laryngitis has to win..
Punk to retain in a strangely underhyped match with Bryan.
Jericho to get the strap in the fourway.

This could be a fucking classic match. Bryan and Punk over the years have had some phenomenal contests.

Contender for MOTY so far in my view, was incredible.

And fuck me, they're pushing Ryback HARD as a future Goldberg like character.

Damnit wub, how do you watch PPVs so quickly and still make it to work? Had to avoid this thread for 3 days!

Punk/Bryan was fucking SUPERB. Proper wrestling - they did a couple of spots I'd never actually seen before... if anything, the last 5-6mins of nearfalls dragged a tiny bit, but the actual end was superb and leaves them open for a Submission/I Quit match too.... Summerslam? Please?

Cena/Johnny was entertaining... nice heel turn from Show. I assume Johnny's building a big crew of henchmen a la Vince's Team Corporate... Brock, Show, Tensai, Otunga.... Kane as the pet monster?

Fatal Fourway was kinda meh. But I generally can't be arsed with 3 or 4 way matches... they're never as exciting as they 'should' be.

That was also probably the best Divas match I've seen in recent memory...

Honest to god, i have never seen stages 3 or 4 of that submission Bryan locked at the end of their PPV match. Not even in Fire Pro.

A 30min submission match like they did with Benoit/Angle back in 2002 though...that would be something special.

No Way Out is shaping up to be shit;

Matches

1 John Cena vs. Big Show (Steel Cage match)
2 Sheamus (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio (Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship)
3 CM Punk (c) vs Daniel Bryan vs Kane (Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship)

Holy fucking Christ how boring is Sheamus Del Rio going to be?

Another uncomfortably realistic beating for Cena followed by a how-did-he-do-that victory? Rubbish. They should give him a year off and let Punk take on Laryngitis' henchmen if they really need another run on the "corporate" angle. They're never going to turn Cena into Steve Austin.

Why is Kane getting all this great booking at the moment? The only point of that character was to be a bit-part in an Undertaker angle in the 90s... and even then I always preferred him as Nailz anyway. 'Monsters' are impossible to sell in 2012. Nobody cares. Nobody's frightened. Instead of masking back up, he should've been repackaged as a straight up mentally-disturbed psychopath... there's really been no need for him to be hiding behind the Undertaker mythology all this time.

I'm not even starting on Fella/Del Rio. Really? (nomiz)

Do people hate Del Rio or something? I think he's usually jokes and i like seeing him wrestle, really fluid stuff.

Also, look up a masked luchador named Chimaera on Youtube, that's Ricardo Rodriguez doing moonsaults and shit!

In ring style is fine...but the character is shitty and for some bizarre reason WWE fast tracked him to main event status?

Ahh, seen that it is quality :D

Also good is the video where Del Rio (wearing the mask) is in his MMA debut and breaks a guys arm doing a belly-to-belly;

4m04s for the move, looks a PAINFUL landing.

TNA will fall over themselves trying to sign him if that happens.
