I think the company started out making ceramics. It must be fairly old. I did a search for pics and loads of antiques came up.

I quite like the fact that it's clearly a drinks tray, which is very fitting for me. :Y:

Dammit. I saw Zap pows post and thought "hehe, I've got a funny response to that". Then I scroll down to see Stanton had pipped me to the post. I'm gutted. My day has been ruined.

It's a terrible responsibility, bringing so much pleasure and sadness to the world.

who me? mine's a nod to two important musical moments personally, living color's album times up and rockers hi-fi's ep of the same name, i could go on ... about millennial anxieties and the birth of the next paradigm, but that'll do blue

speaking of sake Fushimi - three weeks ago I had a ridiculous night on a beach in Miyajima drinking lots of sake and gobbling kinoko-ya... saw some ufo's, studied the barnacles and crabs until morning, and surmised that the japanese were pirate folk at some point in time in the distant past...

must have been the sea air and copious rice wine that gave me a sense of all-things pirate that night...

oh and vis-a-vis the thread title inquiry:

jolly wailer is actually my real name.
