I actually feel for OZ at the moment.
Not doing great against Sri Lanka but are an amazing side with some issues.
The OZ vs SA series highlighted that point.
So much talent but for some reason just not pulling things together.

Thought England were going to cruise this one after 30 overs. Nice comeback from India, Dhoni is so effective in one day cricket.

Early loss of Bell could make things interesting, Woakes' additional talent with the bat could be crucial here.

Australia are in a bit of trouble at the moment imo.
And I mean in general not just this match.
Sri Lanka are embarrassing them.

Nah Nevalo, I know NZ are a good ODI side.
When it started I already knew it was going to be a challenge.
We should have won but imo some of our battsmen didn't deliver as they should have.
That and the fact that we couldn't get the last 2 wickets.

bit early to announce doom and gloom for Oz, they're more than capable of winning the game tomorrow to salvage a bit of pride.

Imo, OZ have just never looked this bad before.
It's quite a shock for me having watched them since SA were allowed back into International Cricket.
Early morning 1am test matches.
Watching Alan Donald bowl it out against Alan Border, Boon, Waugh brothers, etc.
Experiencing Shane Warne at the height of his career turning the ball 90°.
Mc Grath, Craig McDermott, Jason Gillespie and of course the great Merv Hughes.

It was a great time to watch cricket.
For me the big moments in cricket are always SA touring OZ.
SO much anticipation, the atmosphere, the competitiveness, etc.

But oz will always bounce back.
Such a wealth of talent.

Ian Chappell wrote a pretty good piece on the weekend how the Australian selection policies used to be based around it being difficult to get in the side and difficult to be dropped from the side. Now they give national selection to just anyone having 2 months good form in the domestic 20/20 competition. They get given one or two matches to justify selection and then are dropped and won't get another look for 12 months.

That, and Kulasekara is just bowling crazy well right now. It's like when Ishant Sharma (first?) toured here a few years ago and his line and length was spot on every delivery and he was getting movement with the new and old balls.

Ishant Sharma used to be such a dangerous bowler, looks pretty tame now.
