next interview
i like this one a lot
"That’s the sound I love…like srebme in the tune…little glowing bits of vocals…they appear for a second, then fade away and you’re left with an empty, sort of air-duct sound…a little sanctuary"

I'm not going to listen to those clips.. just out of principle. Feels wrong.
My plan - other than raves, I will not listen to this until it's in my hands, at night time, with all the appropriate materials fully prepared and ready to go. Who's with me?

of course they don't do it justice.
but they at least offer glimpses at what's in store and that's enough for me.
got me covered in goose bumps to say the least ; )

I'm with ben and boomnoise, listened to 5 secs of archangel clip and it sounds terrible.
This is getting listened to through my nice soon to be arriving ultrasone headphones (Two Oh One, your chest for the recommendation) late at night or not at all.
Nice FACT interview too, they did one with him after the first album that was damn good.
He talks a lot of sense, would be so easy for someone with that much acclaim to disappear up their own arse, and he clearly hasn't at all.

Archangel

Definitely one of the biggest vocal tunes eva! warmth and deeply lovely. Heartbreaking SONG.
Can't wait to get my horny hands on my copy, till there i just cant wait to the drop.
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

holy shit, just heard the clips on boomkat. totally speechless. chills went down my spine listening to this stuff. i was always worried burial would succumb to the hype machine and follow up with a stinker (if anything at all). no way. the new material sounds instantly classic and maybe even better than the debut LP, going in directions that his first album only hinted at. sooo much soul in these tunes. amazing. can't wait another day. need this album now!!!
