just a bit of a sore point for me, i find it pretty outrageous the amount of people that don't give a shit about how the country is run for reasons such as the above (not saying this is you necessarily)
But your saying such as the above....I fall into that.
You have automatically assumed "I don't give a shit". You are wrong.

what you said implies you don't give a shit, what do you expect me to think?
also i said that it doesn't necessarily apply to you BUT many people aren't interested in it as they genuinely take the attitude you did (which i realise now was in jest yes)

I was actually reffering to "patriotic " and "internationalist"
Not who runs the country.

discussions do not involve splitting hairs unless you are STUCK with what to say or are trying to be clever.

i'm not trying to be clever, nor am i stuck with what to say (i managed to at least make a few informed statements), what i said wasn't even aimed at you personally is just a general observation of an attitude that many take, however seemingly you couldn't accept that so essentially told me to shut up

Why the hell is everyone so SERIOUS?!?!
If you really do think that i beliv there should be racism in politics, and think dubluke is hating because he doesnt have the same hair as Boris or the same Bassface then you need to fix up.

bassface and hair comments aside, what you said earlier about racism in politics was put across as fairly serious
and frankly is it not the place to be serious?? politics is serious business, some of us were trying to discuss it

i did not say you said that right out, but the way you simply quashed discussion with a blunt statement is essentially the same

No your not saying it is me, but if you have already picked up on one of my "silly comments" surely you are talking about things i have said.

i find it interesting that the ones discussing and arguing this thread are mostly young- not that it is a bad thing, I just think it's an interesting observation.
@ whoever said Maggie Iron Flange Thatcher- made me lol, nice
@ Elbe- well said
@ all the bollocks racism propaganda on Boris- it is all spun by Ken Livingstone's campaign team- not to say it is untrue but his campaigners have been hacking work mailing lists the last week or so and sending this email around in a very backhanded, sly manner- you'll know from your work if you have received one. No it doesn't make Boris any better, but doesn't reflect well on Ken either and by no means should you judge your vote solely on a couple of "private" remarks and opinions made by Boris, as Im sure Ken is just as bad.
I'm voting for green party, and not just to make a mockery of a supposed "democratic" vote. Yes i know they won't get in but if people actually voted democratically and voted for those who they personally thought had the most pros over cons, over trying to make their vote mean something in a popularist sense, perhaps the outcome would be more democratic.

you have completely mis-interpreted what i said, whilst i realised what you said was a joke, my point was that many people in this country ACTUALLY take that "i don't give a shit attitude" that you used in your joke (hence the "see above comment) to politics, which i find unacceptable
next time take the care to read it properly before jumping down my throat

It was not ment serious, and i am sorry if i offended anyone by that statement.
We are in the SNH..nothing is always 100% serious. I still see what you are saying though in all fairness

right fair enough, was just the context of it that was all
