no
because his music works on different levels. skream's tracks work mainly on dancefloor. i wonder what kinda person could listen skream on sunday evenings with a glass of wine in front of a fireplace?
the basic difference i guess is - skream produces dubstep, whereas boxcutter produces music

Skream can calculate pi to 50,000 numericals, while making 12 tunes, underwater, handcuffed, in a safe (where the combination is pi to 50,001 numericals) AND get to the surface before he drowns.
Are u stupid?

I knew this thread would blow up.
The words of the thread title are stupid as it is.
Genius is too strong a word and should be reserved for the man like Stephen Hawkins, Einstein, Edison.
And when you use the word overrated then its like the thread starter wanted to stir things up because he knows Skream is on the forum cause i have never seen one of these threads on djs/producers that are not on the forum.
End of the day, Skream is not a genius nor overrated. But a sick producer of Dubstep. And deserves all the praise he gets.
Out to you Skream.
Peace

PEOPLE SHOULD REALIZE THAT WHEN THEIR FORUM REGISTRATION DATE IS POINTED TO ITS NOT BECAUSE ANYONE IS CALLING INTO QUESTION "HOW LONG THEY'VE BEEN LISTENING TO DUBSTEP" - THEY'RE POINTING OUT THAT THE BREVITY OF THE TIME THEY'VE BEEN ON THE FORUM IS SOMEHOW IN RELATIONSHIP TO THAT POSTERS LACK OF COMMON SENSE + SOCIAL GRACE VIS A VIS USING THE FORUM AS A CONSTRUCTIVE TOOL .
No one cares about how long you've liked this music, its not a pissing contest, there's real people who post on here that mostly care about how genuine you are as a person.

Nah mate
If you can't listen to it in front of your fireplace with a glass of wine, it's just noise.

haahaa, don't be so narrowminded, guys. what i meant was - skream focuses on producing mainly dubstep, boxcutter doesn't limit himself - he produces his own stuff that may and may not be regarded as dubstep

I like a few Skream tracks, and even though it isn't my favourite kind of dubstep, it was pretty much the old tunes that he made that brought my attention to the genre.

i just tried to listen to, If you know, infront of a TV playing one of those fire DVD things they use to make weather spoons feel safer, while drinking Ribena from a whine glass, and the glass shattered when i turned on the base boost function.
Looks like its true, Skream isnt music.
