What a ridiculously good weekend. Highlights had to be Pev, Bass Clef, D'Explict, Carl Craig (although fuming that Afrika Bombata managed to cut his set from 2 hours to 1) and Kode (before I overindulged myself and had to be led to the 'chill out' area by friends).

Unfortunately managed to miss Martyn, Rustie and 4 Hero though because of queueing issues.

Good weekend...need a bloody week off now to recover.

Highlights for me were 2562, Appleblim, Jamie Lidell, Beardyman...
Skream and Benga on sunday were well funny...

Bad points for me were...
being to fucked to appreciate Martyn, some of the security were absolute stnuc and the queuing..dear god the queuing... seriously such a downer and most of the time completely unnecessary.
They need to sort that out next year if they can ....

oh and I saw some guy running around naked being chased by security :)

Lol. Surprised security didn't just throw you out and search you given how stricty they seemed to be.

Best thing about the chill out area though was a free cup of coffee. Worst thing was rolling about on the floor and getting a big lump of chewing gum permanently stuck to my hoodie - don't think thats coming off easily.

yeah i was suprised too, apparantly they just carried me up after attempting to wake me up and shining torch in my face etc. re the chewing gum: put it in the freezer if you can, whatever you do dont put in the washing machine

best sets-
FSOL, Aphex&Hecker, Jamie Liddell, Altern8, BizzyB (got kicked out for smoking 20 mins in, well annoying), EdDmx, Skream&Benga etc

best things-
Master Blaster (hold tight fam)
Jacuzzi
BK (1 a day lol)
hipflask (saved a bomb on drinks)
Butlins in general

This is now my new favourite festival, makes Glade look like balls
GO BUTLINS!

aaaaaaggggh what a heavy festival, many many miles better than the first one! just about back to normal now. Great to see subeena, bracket, rekordah, tom and letty, unsettla/4line, danny, frebentos, badga tek. Apologies for not meeting drokkr, powerpill, dead rats, the rest of you lot. I was happily smashed for the entire weekend, didn't see too many full-on gurnbots. every single person was proper sociable. was particularly loving the vice gear!

GOOD
Butlins. pefect site to throw a party like this, great facilities, security mostly well safe.
Mad professor. absolutely sick. proper roots dub with a bit of uptempo an jungle riddims in there. nicely done for a sunday afternoon. lee scratch perry was all good but apart from the excellent sound quality he was fucking late and it was a set full of jibberish and mumbling (obviously huge props to the guy).
Bass Clef. Was getting really pissed off with the amount of dubstep there but bass clef did something different and really impressed.
Carl Craig. las set, straight up pure banging techno, big throwing a bit of blondie in there at the end!
Beardyman. great fun, really entertaining, even saw the security throwing their hands up laughing!
wotless's outfits on the saturday. you lot set standards haha
that geezer walking round as a kitchen

BAD:
missing martyn
missing unlikely and kutz. was so wasted i thought they were in the at-that-point dead tec:bloc.
having an MC on 2562's set. this really pissed me off. 2562 was one of the people that i cam to see and i can't see the poing in having some motormouth mc over proper deep dub/techno.
Timetables going tits up
Missing d'explicit.

fingers crossed they can do it there again next year! Bloc big in the game!

yeah wtf was that all about? would have been one of the sets of the festival - this was my only complaint - such a sick sick festival
- systems were on point

Alern8 topped it for me
my life will never be the same after that Aphex set either
Tipper put a big smile on my face as did FSOL - shame the surround sound didnt quite work for Tipper tho
Martyn dropping Vancouver during my drug fueled enlightenment
Rob Hall was sik
the dude on b4 Africa Bambatta was insanely good
Carl Craig yes!
Kutz and unlikely = Filth for breakfast
basically the Vibe of the festival is going to stay with me for a very long time... roll on next year
