Not to sound like such a Pendulum nuthugger, but I like the bass at :13 and on. I believe it's a reese of course, but it sounds so heavy. Just added distortion? Idk, I'd like to know.

I think it's a Reese with every frequency below 100/90 hz removed, a pure sub-sine with the frequencies above 100/90 hz removed, both sent into a bus?

I got a sound like this too and I made it that way.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. o_0

I was recently wondering whether it was possible to create a riser (or in this case, a faller :P) that changes the length of the fall dependant on how long the MIDI note is held down for... I have a few synths, but I'd be able to make this easier in Massive than any other program... any help?

Nah that would take some next level synth with mind control you can however stick a macro onto the EG that is controlling the pitch rise say the attack or decay and change that depending how quick or slow you want the rise.

In massive use key tacking in the EG (theres a fader for it) or use the keytack at the bottom near the macro controls and assign it to the part of the envelope that is causing the pitch to rise or fall. Usually the attack but can be the decay depending on how you've set it up.

Well the reason I asked was because in Steinberg's Hypersonic 2 there's a patch called Electro Crash or something that pretty much did just that... I think the longer you held the note, the slower the cutoff would descend, but since I don't have the dongle emulation anymore (I'm a good boy :3) I can't use it, so I've been looking to reproduce it on Massive but so far I've had no luck...

particularly the one at 1:01
then at 1:30 - can that even be made using a synth - or is it a sample of a lion/fuck off dinosaur ???
that sure does sound like a jurassic park sample

the question you should be asking is

how did the jurassic park guy make that sound? tuned down lion roars?
The Jurassic Park guy made the T-Rex growl by recording a big rig breaking to a halt.

Is it really on some next level shit or somethang? Or is just too easy? I know there's a compressed, slightly distorted 909 with some decay in there. But the other half of the sound boggles my mind. White noise with an envelope on the low-pass filter?

Trying to make something similar to Datsik and Downlink's bass lines in say Rise of The Machines. Or more or less how they those cool automatons going on. I'm sure there is alot of editing going on but can we just start with which sine waves and such? :(

I would love to know how Datsik makes his bass but I wouldn't feel right ever using it in a tune... He deserves to flaunt that sound around in his tracks.

Have offered some help with quite a few on here, hopefully someone can help me.

I have been trying to create that oldskool "wump" bassline that is very common in Garage. Think EL-B and all the Ghost crew. They were making the sound a long time ago so it is nothing fancy at all. I think it is a couple of standard waves with automation. I thought it was opening a filter but I cannot get it. Maybe it is something else?
