Also respect to Flux Sessions, Reprogression and Basslaced, heard what people are putting together for 2010 and Notts is guna regain its title as the Uks 3rd city for dubstep.
Also we got TRG coming in February and Breakage coming in March, venue TBA

yes nottingham! looks like 2010 is going to be a big year for us. but UKs 3rd city for dubstep is pushing it isn't it? surely we don't have the venues to rival other bigger cities? if you look at the lineups some places are copping, they're just unreachable. we pull off maybe three nights a month that are worth going to? and stealth is the only decent sized venue. In manchester there are 3 nights a week worth going to!

it is a proper shame about the venues.
I mean already this year it seems like there are more nights, dogma are doing their thursday things and market bar have got some stuff going down with oneman having played already. Tectronik at stealth on the weekend had a nice innovative lineup pushing some future sounds which is good to see.
But if you just look at some of the nights that manchester, birmingham, liverpool, brighton, newcastle (and london goes without saying) are grabbing then there is nothing in comparison.
Where are the medium sized venues at? Stealth being the frontrunner for all things dance music isn't exactly the best flagship club putting on nights with pendulum and sidney samson especially as its not actually that big. There needs to be something inbetween market bar/dogma/bodega sized and those monstrosities like gatecrasher and oceana.
All things said though, BIG UP to the promoters who are working hard to get these events out! i for one will be reaching every night i can.

Big up all Notts Heads...
Remember 'Karma' is now pushing the hardest, darkest and most twisted sounds in dubstep and drum and bass down at Moog on the first Friday of each month.
This time round (2 April) we've got Intoccabile coming over all the way from Canada for his first appearance in the city. Owner of the Legendary Fyutchaflex recordings (
www.fyutchaflex.ca) the man has been smashing dancefloors for over a decade.
In a little twist on our usual music policy we'll be getting some grime and garage this month, but it'll still be on the dark and dirty side.
For a bit more on the man check out:
http://grimepedia.co.uk/wiki/Intoccabile
Hope to see some peeps down there.
For more info check out the events section.
Peace.

Oi oi, whats happening Nottingham?
Just a word to say there's a new night launching in Notts, name of Se>>ions. Gunna be hosted at Bodega Social Club and will be trying to expand the scene in Notts that little bit more and really get things kicking off the heads in the NG area. Its gunna be a weeknight ting so you don't have to wait for the weekend to get your dosage of bassweight and 2-step goodness.
First Night.
Monday 10th of May
GUIDO
MENSAH
GOLI
ASHBURNER
MILK B2B ARAKURE
