rl grime is definitely beyond your 4th statements wolf89. This guy, for a fact, is not trying to cash in on brostep fans. obviously you don't know the dudes background.

Ryan Hemsworth is going to be on the Lucky Me Show tomorrow, If he releases something on their label it will be one nutty line up
Baauer,Hemsworth,Rustie,Lunice,Hudmo and S type. Not mentioning Jaq Greene and Machine Drum etc.

none of those names nearly stack up to mike slott and rustie. hudson mohawke and machine drum were cool yeah but they fell off. but everyone else in that name is a nobody and doesnt contribute to the legacy of 2007-2009 luckyme.

The legacy of 2007-2009
"Hudson Mohawke - Says Oops! EP 12" June 2008
Nadsroic Room - Mist EP 12" July 2009
Mike Slott - Lucky 9Teen LP 12" October 2009 "
3/14 releases is not a "legacy"
but again this is just opinions so there we go.

Output as in he hasnt put out much or that you dont like what he has put out recently on his own label? Also I thought the stuff machine drum has done under Jets was pretty good. Not as good as nastyfuck, SXLND or Rooms but still nothing I wouldnt listen to.

Still will see what happens! Im more intrested in seeing Lucky me put on nights with the people I mentioned involved more than anything.

i didnt really mean luckymes discography because they are shit at releasing stuff, i just meant in general the music that mike slott, rustie, and hudson mohawke were putting out in 2007-2009 (obviously taking unreleased stuff into consideration). that was like the wonky golden era. now mike slott has fell off the face of the earth and everyone else has fallen off since they switched up their styles to more mainstream, accessible stuff (hudmo and machinedrum in particular).

You guys should have seen the set machinedrum played at Dimensions. Absolutely sick. Who cares if it's more mainstream that shit was so energetic and massively enjoyable. Anyone who wouldn't enjoy his set if they were there clearly hates fun and would rather sit at home on their computer getting angry that there isn't as much "wonky hip hop" about as before (probably because it already got a bit saturated) and wanking over how how someone put a soul sample on drums that aren't quite in time for the millionth time.

Go out get drunk and jump about like an idiot to machinedrum playing on a 50k rig outdoors in Croatia on a hot summer's night and see if you can still say he "fell off"

i cant tell you how many times i have listened to this, machinedrum had a kind of identity crisis after his merck stuff (he was also syndrone and tstewart on there as aliases), which led to some odd sounds, but once he found his niche with sepulcure and his own solo stuff adapting this pseudo-footwork sound, and just creative percussion in general, i fell in love with his production all over again.

Soundcloud

his remix of om unit's vibrations is fucking insta-dance mode

yup he really never "fell off" imo.. he really reinvented his own sound from glitch to his current work, yet never deviating from that glitch influence, still keeping a subtle presence in his music.

his old stuff though.. :U: the addition of the snare into this song around 3.50 changes the vibe of the tune entirely.

jacques greene hasnt made anything worth mentioning in almost 2 years. sad, he used to make such quality tune (& mixes)

dunno bout you guys but machinedrum could shove a mic up his ass and record his own farting noises and then stack a beat to it and i'd still bump that shit all day everyday
