the reason Carroll played well for us was cos we playing route one football centred around him. Hit the ball up to the big man, he knocks it down to someone for a goal.
Getting rid of Carroll freed us up to play a more expansive style of football. I was fucked off at the time though like.

From what I saw, Spain deserved that... but I only had one eye on it because I was in the pub with a bunch of fucking chatty wankers.
