Easy guys... Been producing for a number of years and finished a dubstep track the other day. I thought i'd come seek some thoughts and opinions.
Its a deep, dark, abstract number. Deep subs and sexy pads.
just uploaded it to my myspace - first track, top of the list

easy man - just listening to resistence... really like it... just sounds like it needs eqing. the bass doesn't seem to let the other parts through.
liking scatter too... love the darkness
i'd say just pay a bit of attention to frequency clashes

love the vocal on mystique.. really uplifting - would rush your nuts off if you were on the gurns.

i wanted more from the drums.. not too keen on the snare

Alright mate.. i think the drums are completely shadowed by the bass, which imo sounds flat.
i'm no expert but i think this is where side chain compression comes into play...
i quite like the melody but the beats defo need space to breathe and to be heard

At 1.36 a synth comes in which feels ditached from the mix... Maybe turn it down. Awesome bass and reverbatared vocal. Loving the groove. perfect use of bongo's. Lovely gated filtered synth . I can see what your trying to to achieve mate. i really like your sound. Just mix it down and you'll have a nice tune.
Thanks mate thats a great bit of feedback - I have done pretty much what you suggested (the improved mix is now in place). Turned down the keyboards and added some verb to the hats to brighten them up. The snare isnt clipping but it has a powerful cutting sound that snaps through the mix somehow ... I decided to stick with it.
Great feedback cheers

love the post office track.. wicked mate

Hey guys im new on the forum, just started producing, got ableton a week ago and just spent hours watching tutorials/reading the forums and came up with this.....my first dubstep tune! It's aptly named slater slag haha, not really expreienced enough to make a proper serious tune, so i decided to make a jokes one instead just to try out what i've learnt so far...lemmie know what you think, any questions you got just ask innit bladlings.

My best mixdown ever methinks. Went for the 'wall of sound' approach for the second drop. Let me know what y'all think.
