I am a professional gladiator and I do eat meat every day. Sushi, fuck eating it at a restaurant. Just go to the market and buy a kilo of good fatty tuna and eat it at home with soja and wasabi and some daikon. And nothing else.

Sushi =/= sashimi.

Ok, fair point but Not in light of this discussion though. Or is the addition of rice making it even more/Less elitist or more/less likely to cause harm to the environment.

Feck knows although if adding rice to your raw fish is the worst part of your environmental impact then you can probably chill.

Also fair point on making your own (although living in the UK and not on the coast, getting adequate quality fresh fish is really hard), was being a bit dickish and nitpicky although in the context of this thread I guess that's fair game...

I think sushi is overrated, Sashimi is not.

Hmmm, dunno. I like both. Although the status of sushi as the perennial upper-middle-class status food is weirdly annoying. Also the status of both as all anyone knows about japanese food.
