Nice one jaws, looks like a fun studio. I'm particularly into your vintage keyboard selection.

I've been meaning to check out one of those vocal isolator things, the parabola shaped thingy around the mic in the last post

right on, I may pick one up. I like tracking vocals outside of the booth a lot so this may be perfect

it works well, just make sure the stand can hold itjaws wrote:right on, I may pick one up. I like tracking vocals outside of the booth a lot so this may be perfect
the tripod one i use for the se i've had to tape down (with old army 100 mph tape) a few times when setting it for myself
if you have a hq heavy duty studio boom even in a booth they work such wonders
Re: the classic "take a photo of your setup" thread
yeah, i've got a pair of heavy duty k&m stands. Should be able to hold it up I think

Re: the classic "take a photo of your setup" thread
yea i need to get a heavy duty boom soon
Re: the classic "take a photo of your setup" thread
biggest difference is mic isolation from the floor and any resonant frequencies with the stand itself. If you're using a tripod stand you'll still get rumbling from the floor/ people walking and stuff. Also, the stand itself can kind of resonate if it doesnt' isolate correctly. You can easily tell this if you tap on the stand and hear a resonant frequency.

Love your setup, Deadly. Being just <30 and from Cleveland, My favorite piece of production equipment you own is your Dieselboy poster.
But, srsly, looks nice, wish my room was that organized.
