@BudSpencertron - Beat is hella dope mate, though I would like it to be a bit more badass somehow and just I hate lil' wayne :( But great production imo.

@Speciman-Yarp - Love the intro. Would like those basslines to me more phat and then wait a little before the breakdown kicks in. :)

@RandoRando - Damn mate, you've got some pretty sick stuff in that one, really digging the drums! I bet this'll shound dope as hell when mixed and mastered!

Heres my WIP, I would LOVE if you guys could tell me if it needs more bass, I can't really hear if so in the headphones I am producing with and just FYI: My mixing skills are terrible :

I took a lot of you guys' advice on the intro and the rest of the track.

Here is where I think I'm going to call it done at, any mix troubles or things that need be looked at.
Enjoy:

@ DubMikey: Well yeah you do need a bit more on the sub, and no worry about the mixing, just keep practicing and you'll get it!
@ BudSpencertron: Heavy intro you have here, massive! Loving that dark feel. Drums hit nicely as well and I'm digging the effects and vocals you have in here. Don't know what else to tell ya, keep it up!
@ Kes-Es: Chilling creepy intro, love where this is going! Heavy kicks you have going on as well, as well with the left to right movement you have going on. "OH GOD NO!" Haha! Michael Scott seeing Toby? Big! Dope drop man!

And here are my WIPs, currently have two. The "Coming Home" DNB remix and a dark robotic heavy Dubstep tune.

WIP: Coming Home (Loud Flavor Remix)

WIP: Game Over (Original Mix)

Would highly appreciate any feedback, safe!

@dubmikey thanks haha who doesnt but if you can give me some necro or la coca nostra acapellas i will take them; really powerfull wobbles you got there only thing is maybe change the sounds sometimes or make a break groove like 3 notes up or down for the feeling

@loud flavor holy shit this is massive just finish it and i would personaly take the sample layered underneath the reece out before the drop the intro is enough happiness yeah it would take some industrial noises for the second drop and fuck with the singing like really hard 3 voices layered or something the bass is to evil for the nice singing :corndance:

@kes-es feel the intro now :Q:

some idm inspired dubstep i started yesterday

@budspencertron - yeah definitely has an IDM feel to it, the melodys can come together in the middle work really well together, and like the evelope thing your doing to the bass, only thing id change is lowering the reverb on some of the instruments, just so it sounds cleaner!
@loudflavor - on the game over tune, got a good wobble sound going, but the snare and most of the kick drum is getting lost because of it, just needs sidechaining properly! and the coming home remix, the bass youve got going sounds very noisia-like, which is a really good thing haha!
@kes-es - great work of the build up, that exceling noise works really well, awesome work on the wobble too, would go off live, got a skanky feel to it, only thing ive got to criticize is at 1.58, the wobble fades from quiet to loud when its supposed to drop loud!

heres mine, feedback would be nice on what i should next in the tune :)

@Kes-es: this is obviously a banger and seems done. i dont really care for the steve carrell sample. mids kinda hurt my ears but definitely a sick brostep track.

@ Loudflavor: at 1:13-1:14 i think itd be tight if you solo'd the girl's voice when she says "home" for a split second just to add emphasis. sick track tho :4: . on the second track i wanna hear the arcade game say "over" but it kinda dies out at "ov". pretty good production for your stuff tho. midrange brosteppy feel, not my thing but it's pretty sick and your synths seem original enough

@LukeRaith: i like the chillness of this song. the reverb on the clap is perfect. only criticism i can think of is that it seems too much like an intro to an even bigger sounding song. but i guess it doesnt have to be

here's my wip
it doesnt have an intro yet ..

some tips on mixing it would be greatly appreciated. sounds pretty nice until i upload to soundcloud of course. : / whatever tho

Soundcloud

i guess it's soundcloud compression but its makin it sound like shit during certain parts :u: :u: :u: :u: :u: like arond 1:10 i hear a kind of wind sound in my headphones from that weird hihad/cymbal that hits
and the sub has a ringing to it when it doesnt in reason/itunes

@craggle not really my style but its still really nice and chill man love the vibe you got going there. where it drops in seems to flow to much i know its most likely meant like that but i feel like it needs a bit more punch on the first kick on the drop or something.

@hudson intro reminds me of some kinda old rnb track haha. static crackling noise fits nicely to chew up empty space. so chilled out man. only thing it need is something to make it a bit more interesting i think. a nice vocal track would be sick on this.

@cubicle break is really abrupt man. tune is very original though. i dont think i really like the piano sounds like its been eq'd strangely? i know that sound is probably what your going for but i think a bit more high end melody stuff could be decent :) i dno hard to provide feedback on stuff i wouldnt usually listen to.

started this today dont really know what im gonna do with it.

@ Loud Flavor : Both tracks are fine ! Nice mixing, nice sound design, nothing to say !

@ BudSpencertron : Your basses and pads are really nice, but your drums seems too low. Good job anyway !

@ LukeRaith : Chilled piano / Pan Flute track ! Quiet & smooth, thats pretty good ! Keep it up.

@Bevoh : Sick bassline, but the level of the whole track seems low. You should finish this track, trust me :p

Ok, now there's mine, started this one yesterday. I still have to work the intro i think. Thanks for listening !

@ Darj good theme but maybe the bass is too simple?

@ BevOh filthy bassline! I like the chillness and the rhythm.

Here's my new wip I would really like to get some feedback on this one:

larryb- I'm digging the melody and that switch to that beautiful lead was smooth, this is one of the dopest things I've heard in a long time, original sounds. The snare sticks out sometimes but I think it really helps the lazy feel of the track, I really like this, would love a 320 when it's done, great work.

Darj, I like the funny hiphop horn intro. not sure I like the pattern you've got on the hats and ride, or the repeating melody, this has an interesting, sound, it's pretty fucking dope honestly, I'm just not sure about the melody throughout the track, you could have repeated the first bit of the drop ad nauseum and just do an evolving atmosphere behind it, honestly I think that'd destroy a crowd, you've got a handle on drops and I like your drums while the bassline is going, but you've got some funky stuff I'm not so sure about going on, I love the bass after both drops and I wager you should build the track again, around those riffs. Mix is alright, track is different. Overall I just personally think you should have gone somewhere else with it. Good work though, interesting.

Raxcal- the singing is nice, I feel like the intro and the drop are from two different songs though, I say take them apart and make two new songs, that intro deserves some deep substep. Dirty but is sick, scale it up a bit though, you're straddling the line between sick and amateur because your ideas are fucking dope, but the sounds and samples could all be bigger, I'd like to see the volume increase at the drop, moar sub. My opinions about the intro aside, this has a lot of potential, polish it and give it teeth.

This is a drum and bass drumstep switchup track I started tonight, the fade out is because it's all I got done, would love some feedback on what I've got. need a sample with a cleaner ending, I am aware.

@lowlif3 - This is really cool bro, kind has a jokerish thing going on which is really nice. Melody is good too.
@Darj - sounding real good, I think the bass repeats the first note just a little too much if you know what i mean. Apart from that its cool, great structure
@BevOh - I had to turn up the volume but sounds pretty sick g, can't wait till this ones mixed down.

Here's a new wip that i started yesterday, still trying to find my style but I'm happy with how its going so far. I think it might be a bit bare though so any suggestions would be mean.

- Budspencertron: Mixdown sounding nice mate, your basslines on the other hand could use alot of improvement. Alot of unclear frequencies going on that you should just avoid while making your bass sound , before putting any crazy fx on your sound :)

- Sifty: sounding good, but arrangementwise you don't have alot going on really, I'd work with alot more strings/pads/melodies and most of all more switch ups in your drumline and melodies. keep on it!

- Kes-es: not really into this track, didn't get the intention of the intro and the drumstep part was pretty wack imo. From the drum&bass part on it sounded abit better, but not really well on the mixdown. Lots of work on this one mate , not even sure it has the potential you're looking for in a track.. (sorry if i'm being harsh , i'd rather be honest towards you than giving you fals feedback...)

For my track, ive been experimenting abit with 100bpm stuff:

@reignz thanks for the tip i know what you mean it sounds muddy in the lower frequencies hm could try to take them away with a eq but i am afraid that the sound will go down in volume to much

Dunno man sorry your not into it and didn't get the intro it's all pretty understandable, I like it a lot, but I normally don't do jump up or drumstep as a listener, but I've never done DnB as a producer at all, for a first attempt I'm pretty satisfied and the track isn't finished so there's that. If you don't like it now you won't like it later, but I dig it, and a lot of other people dig it as far as I can tell so Ima finish it anyway, thanks for the honest feedback.
Your track is pretty sick man, Mix lacks some space and high end, bass needs to go down and the whole track needs to come up, towards the end it starts to lose focus, but I dig this track, 320 when you finish it would be rad.

Give feedback on 3 other tracks, and start reading the rules round here, or nobody will even hit play and you can get fucked.

sorry bout the last post.

Darj : first off I thought the intro was killer. i think the bass needs to be changed up from time to time it bored me a little, and the organ chord on the off beat in the last phrase or some sounded very out of place to me.

lowlife : loved the tune, I always dig the dub stuff. but the white noise was a little much, for me al least.

budspencertron : so killer, I was a little unsure about the intro but it grew on me, keep up the good work

This is my first attempt at a dubstep production, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
