wednesday night/ tuesday wee hours here
and I'm home disappointed:
they were playing house,
the dude with dreads was gunna play some techno
& a pom said he might play some bass music & garage
(but he didn't know when his set was; how can you trust someone like that...)
guy in the record shop had said it'd be interesting/hinted that it was heads/listening
but the lady dj was making out that playing CDs was complicated
and it was just standard house, not even Scuba's shit

yeah a few other things on
but hey, it's our biggest city
& not a breath of dubstep.

OK I should be used to that
but I'm starting to think that there was no sub music played out
anywhere on the planet tonight

not NY, Shanghai, Berlin, Mexico City, London nor Tokyo
let alone Minneapolis, Lyon, Dunedin, Birmingham, Goa or Glasgow

when I get my act together,
I don't care whether anybody rocks up,
there's gunna be ds and deep subs on Tuesday & Wednesday nights
at least somewhere on this lil planet
