VGA connector/port on my old Geforce 8600gt went bad and is now giving shitty display. Hoping the DVI to VGA adapter I ordered will have positive results. Hopefully my monitor wont get confused with the signal and go into powersave mode because of the adapter.

Till it arrives in the mail, No gaming for me.

Sounds like you could do with a new graphics card anyways!

Lol, yeh I got a HIS 4670 1gig with IceQ cooling fan, but the vga port is bad on that one as well so i need the adapter regardless.

It's not much of an upgrade, but I don't have the money for a new card, and even if I did I would be bottle-necked by my Pentium 4 3.4ghz, and my motherboard doesn't support dual cores.

Have 3gigz of Kingston Ram and a 500watt power supply though.
