Now I have to get on the train and hunt down the trainguy asthey dont ever come round and then I get a nice £20+ fine at victoria!

What pisses me off is the fact that at both Reading and Oxford stations the ticket machines reject litterally every note you put in

Housemate really needs to pull himself together... constantly fucking around and getting pissed. We're both 24, we both dicked around when we were younger, and we both agreed to do uni again and smash it this time. So here we are three years on, not getting any younger, in our final semester of the final year and he's skipped uni to drink frosty jacks and play shite tunes while I'm trying to study.

Same here, the tnuc ruined my night coming into my room at 4:30 am (without knocking) asking for fucking beers he knew I didn't have. He then proceeded to knock at all 8 rooms of the flat and ended up listening to shitty trance full volume until 6am with his room locked up. Well at least we all went to wake him up at 12:30 with a bucket full of water, the guy is now pissed at everyone because our reaction was "disproportionate". FUCK YOU MAN WHEN I HAVE 8 HOURS OF PUBLIC RIGHTS ON FRIDAY YOU CANT EXPECT ME TO BE ALL SMILY WITH YOU HAVING ME UP AT 4:30.
The worse is he stole my fucking tartare sauce that I was keeping for my steak and left it open in a heated room (This isn't even the first time he does that kind of things, he regularly snatches food from the common fridge & shit, and he finds it fucking normal). Fuck this guy, seriously. I don't care if he fails another year but next time he gets the flat so pissed he'll get a bucket of bleach

Whole thing is a joke!
Going to have to catch a train one stop back to get off, cross to the otherside and buy a ticket then get the next train up just for peace of mind!
On the plus side that means leaving work earlier! just aggrevating!

One of my technics keeps randomly changing speed. It just jumped about 4% faster while i was mid mix

the voltage regulator in the pcb or the transformer is probably malfunctioning allowing bursts of current through to the motor

thats what it sounds like anyway, to be fair it could be loads of things, normally you just need to take it apart and test the components

you could also have a fault with your pitch control, but its probably a fault with the motor caused by malfunctioning transformer or sumat

im no expert btw, but yeh, could be a start to a bit of research

cheers noam, sounds quite likely. it was set to zero pitch as well so it surprised me when everything suddenly jumped off beat.

think the pitch sliders need replacing anyway in fairness, or at least a damn good clean. feels like they're made of sandpaper.

zero pitch is wonky on technics anyway, the pitch always floats between +/- when its on zero, so that may have been the reason, but if its a drastic change in speed resulting in a big leap of bpm, say if you were on 140 and you jump to 145 or something then yeh sounds like something is up

if not it might just be that your pitch faders are a bit old and need replacing, like i say, 0 pitch always floats, its better to never leave it on 0 unless you have mk3/5 faders, i.e. the click-less ones

if you don't want floaty 0 point then buy mk5s or take the ball bearing out of the pitch

yeah it sounded like someone just whacked the pitch all the way to max, i'll try and find a guide for troubleshooting the voltage regulator/transformer to see whats up

its called the voltage potentiometer and directly regulates the current fed from the mains so try that man
