And it seems like you could have used the energy it took to put down a group of people largely saying positive things about your music (is this bullshit too?) to actually confirm whether Can We Go Back is on Medi or not? Would remove the speculation.

first of all someone already said i tweeted it's coming on antisocial,
i appreciate the positive things, but that's not really what i'm about, that's not what i look for, the only reason i came to this thread is because i was having a discussion with someone about a tune, and they said it was getting criticised so i wanted to see what was said, speculation is bullshit because it doesn't change anything, the descisions are made, and the releases will come out when they come out, mala doesn't like to confirm things too early and tries to hold things down, i did not mean to step any positive thing that was said in this thread because i'm sure it's appreciated by all the artists on medi, but when an artist read's things where people say "i'm not going to buy this" or "this isn't as good as his last" it has a very negative effect on the mental aspect of their music, especially if they have put their hearts into it, then all of a sudden the start to second guess themselves, which leads to them not putting out things that are really what they want to do. i believe in simply letting things just happen, and take it's course, if u don't like it, all good, don't buy it, but don't compare, u don't have to SAY ur not buying it, it doesn't need to be advertised, i believe that music is a mission, NOT a competition, i speak and build from my heart and i can guarantee that u will never see me put out anything that doesn't come from my heart because i build for me and me only, everything else is a bonus.
so i'm sorry to anybody who was offended, but i can't type any other way than how i feel, and i do think it's all bullshit, just like mr i'm gonna roll my eyes and get a couple points up there thinks what i said was, it's all swings and roundabouts.
anyways keep supporting good music, the music u love, don't worry about what is not for u, there are many sides to artists, and ur not going to like all of them, just celebrate what u do like.
this is my last post as i have asked for my account to be deleted as there is nothing left for me here.

This could've turned into another one of those big name producer flounce-offs, so I'm glad it didn't!
This is totally understandable, especially the part about people putting out music that isn't what they really want (Think there's enough of that already, let alone stuff that might arise from criticism on forums). Whilst your tunes aren't the sort of stuff I play out, I rate the anti-social crew for having a recognisable vibe and sticking to their guns.
Basically, if producing/running a label was my livelihood, I'd stay away from forums I think!

but yh this. its a forum like many others, people are allowed to be negative/say as they please, especially if they genuinely aren't feeling something.

Why is it that every time I see Silkie or Quest on this forum they're throwing some sort of tantrum? It's a discussion forum, fans of their music are gonna discuss them on it. I would've thought they'd be able to recognise that even negative discussion and baseless speculation is healthy because it shows that people care about their music

If they are making it 'from their hearts' then what other people say shouldnt change anything. Negative criticism is a part of music, not everyones gonna lick your bum over every tune.
