Hit and miss. That Chevy refix is awful imo.. and I'm still shocked he plays that Bax refix so much, thats a horror as well.
However, first tune in this:
Soundcloud
Dread D - Invasion spooky refix & his refix of Rude Kid - Jack Daniels are biggggg.

Re: Kahn
imo that chevy remix is big cos it'll do damage in the dance
tbh that's what there really about, they don't hold up well as songs but riddims like his tron refix are just meant to get wheels and get ppl gassed inna rave
they're dj tools really
tbf wouldn't listen to it on its own. or really compare it with tracks with lots of development other musical ideas etc.

Re: Kahn
I'd argue Chevy does damage enough already and it isn't necessary to refix it to do damage in a dance.. but if you are, do it well. This isn't the case. In the dance or not, the original is so much better.
Thats my opinion anyway, would get no gun finger inna de dance from me.
I've also seen the Sweet Shop refix get multiple wheels before, don't make it a good tune lol.
Still big up Spooky, just not feelin this one.

Re: Kahn
Imo most of the endless refixes/vips of Kahn & the new 'grime' lots tunes are pretty stale after the initial "wtf is this" reaction the first time you hear it out.

I used to agree, I didn't rate Chevy for a few months but it's really grown on meQuestionableCause wrote:the Spooky refix isn't that bad but then I don't think very much of Chevy to begin with lol. though I'd probably be a lot more impressed with it if I'd never heard an Alias tune in my life before.

Haha shouts to one bass alias but Chevy doesn't sound like an alias ripoff imo
