really liking this man - great atmosphere, love that main synth. I'd turn down the snare though, it's really loud in the mix. that's about it though, good work man, I wouldn't mind a 320 of it when it's done
here's a tune that I'm almost done with (I think) - some feedback would be appreciated!
Soundcloud
I like it a lot man!
Though pure question of taste I prefer the props a bit heavier and a few counts later, it feels a bit like "yeah it's coming, oh crap I missed it!!!

"
And I'm not a big fan of too natural sounding crashes either, but that's just a question of taste.
The synths are very nice, good mix between padlike sounds, the slight wobble and the rest of them
Keep up the good work!

Really likin' it man, givin' it a second go 'round right now.
-Maybe have the delays of the vocal hit on the other side of the stereo spectrum to create some more swing, and variate the delay on your vocal a bit more obvious to keep the track progressing a bit more.
-Create some variations on the snare to keep it moving a bit more, automate your reverbs, throw in a different snare, pitch it up or down, pan it to the other side once in a while or something like that.
-Really like the way the synth comes in at the breakdown and the way it breaks loose as the beat drops again, but ends up being quite contained, really fits with the vibe of the tune.
Thanks man! I'll surely keep your advice in mind! true the beat (snare especially) needs to roll a bit more, it's slightly boem....tsjak over and over again, but did I metnion this is my first tune, and the eq may not be awesome caus I don't have any monitors yet.
Thx for listening!

thanks for listening man, one question though - what do you mean when you say you like the props heavier and later?

Damn, I'm loving the drums and the way you're using panning in building shit up.
Feel like the synth could be pulled up a bit, seems like you've got plenty of space left for it. And maybe create a variation on that with a slightly modulated sound to keep it a bit more suprising.
Would love to play that tune out, let me know if you'd have a wav or 320 available when it's finished!
I'll let you know when it's done man, are you on soundcloud?

Bit of fuckabout fun, the bassline is pretty horrible but the guitar and the vocal sample is enjoyable!
Let me know if it's worth pursuing!

Hi everybody (noob question). I was wondering if anyone could help me with my mastering on a certain track. i have no "real" experiance of mastering because i have always had crap speakers but recently i have now baught some AKG K-240 MK2 headphones (not managed to afford monitors yet) so hopefully i will stand a better chance.
I have read quite alot on snares and kick drums and i think i have managed to make an alright snare however i dont think my kick is very good. my sub is also laking something ( i dont know what yet lol) and so is the bassline i have used towards the end.
i have just started the track (prety much just thrown the basics down) and i kno it needs alot doing to it , expecialy in the mastering (since i am a newbee to it), but im just wondering if anyone could help me fatten up the track and make my drums and bass sound better. it would b grate if i could get some general tips on mastering aswell

i know the track randomly cuts off, it is no where near finished lol. thanks

just had a listen and the hats feel a lil bit too loud, gives me a bit of a headache
and the bass parts are sick but have you thought about adding an extra whomp every 4 bars for variation? would sound fecking awesome
overall good track, just needs that extra bit of work on the hats, 320 me up when finished

I like the beats a lot, really rolling, though i think a little loud on the hats. The dreamy synth is nice but I'd ad something more to spice it up. The bassline i'd filter the lowends and replace it by a pure sine sub, caus now I think it's taking up all the headroom. The vocal sample is a bit repetitive, also for the drops the could kick in a bit harder, they slide in imo, that's a quesiton of taste.
Can't judge the mixdown, lack of monitors
