I had my Dubstep Epiphany after taking mushrooms and going to Subloaded @ the Black Swan, I was so taken aback by the bass, dubsteps never been the same since. It really opened my eyes to the sound and i havent looked back!
Ketamine seems to be the new prevalent drug at dubstep nights i've found, loads of people seemingly walking through treacle and looking confused, not really my cuppa tea but they seem to enjoy themselves.
The amount of K creeping into the scene is getting slightly disturbing though, so many casualties!

IMO K is shite, pure and simple, no real sense of having it with friends and strangers in a club. Bloody horse tranquilizer fucked up the techno scene locally(Athens.GR) in a space of 2-3 yrs (02-05). Nothing like good clean Mud and good phat beats and basslines. With dubstep it's even better cause you have more 'space' to 'move'

Agree.
Un-bloody-special K.
Isn't the bass enough with minimal doses of relatively harmless relaxants?

I usually like to keep it professional with dubstep, although I have been known to dibble dabble at the odd dubstep event. I prefer getting trollied to techno or d n b. Spliffs and dubstep, yes of course.
If your gunna do anything though Mandy wins for me. Spread the love lol

I don't think I do enough MDMA I never get that loved up thing from it
Maybe I've just spent all my love juice on listening to R Kelly though

There is definitely more pontificating on the use of drugs and the correct way to have a good time when out and about in the dubstep scene. It's like half the people into it make their spliffs with rolled up copies of the daily mail.

Yeah, it's like raving with the Young Conservatives. Or alternatively you can just replace God with Bass and it's like a christian outreach group "son, I never needed no drugs to get me high, I put all mah faith in tha bass, and lo the bass has come and rescued me from such earthly temptations"
Is it just me or is bass in itself not exactly that interesting without something clever over the top (you know, like a structure, tune, that sort of thing). If people are really tripping out over indiscriminate low frequencies, I'd rather be amongst drug connoiseurs.
