I'm offended by how bad some Mt. Eden tracks are.
The beats are abysmal. Some of the bass is just piss-poor.
MILLIONS? of views on youtube?
Slap a pretty vocal on a terrible beat, and you get millions of plays. Work diligently at rhythm, melody, bass weight, and you're still unknown. What a fucked up world.

Dude..
I've gotten used to hearing every other genre of music under the sun be dumbed down and lyric-saturated to appeal to the masses.
I guess i naively though dubstep was immune from this.. :u:

to reiterate: who?

checked out Sierra Leone. It's not good....but then again, it's not something that I'd play, or be booked to play, or seek out as a clubgoer so... it's kinda irrelevant to me.

Lol at everyone getting mad at students brocking out to this tho. KIDS THESE DAYS!!!!!

It's basic English grammar that the words 'Mala','Coki' & 'Burial' do not go in the same sentence as motherfucker or any other derogatory term ever.
Next level pain falls upon he who breaks this rule.Brace

I contemplated raising a stink about Mt Eden bastardizing my tune, but... I don't think anyone with any reasonable taste in music finds any aesthetic merit in his productions, so I guess it's not much of a big deal.

Still pretty weak, though.

The Youtube comments are funny, though.

Mt Eden is to dubstep what Pendulum is to Dnb

I love how he's just claimed an entire suburb of Auckland for himself.

I might call myself "New Zealand Dubstep" or perhaps just go the whole hog and be "World Dubstep"

Pretty dick move on his part. Big up your tune though.
