not quite finished but nearly there. beats need more punch and the arrangement (especially the outro) needs a little tweaking but should be enough for you to get an idea.

appreciate your comments. will have a listen to the others later 8)

Little filthy dubstep tune i've got, only three tunes made, so obviously i'm on amateur levels but i would definitely appreciate some feedback. I'll be giving my opinions on tunes later on today as i'm in a bit of a rush, but again i'd seriously love any feedback.

After page 7 the hole idea of LISTENING TO OTHER SONGS AND SHARING YOUR OPINIONS kind of slowly decomposed into a dusty pile of shit.
Thanks to the many people who have shared their thoughts, and a giant :q: to all those who havent. :u:

@lightshapers
nice song, not much to fault here, great bass and percussions. Maybe work on the vocal being louder in the mix overall.

@acolddayinhell
maybe needs some underlying synths to hold every together, but sounds cool, nice loud punching kicks.

@djpsychonaut
nice chilled out vibe. smooth beat, I like the eerie bass chords and melody. I'm digging this

here's something I made last night, I'm returning the mixer I bought just to have out here while i'm on vacation. It turned out to be a real pos. Sometimes you just gotta put the money into something to get quality at the most basic of levels.

have a listen

@pumice

nice sounds in there, but that is just too chaotic for me :) i like some experimental stuff sometimes , but this one isn't for me, although prolly other headz here dig that stuff. cool to hear a track without actual drums tho :)

@Light shapers

Nice production man grimey bass, cool arps nice vocal samples and intro. nice mix.

@j-hilla

interesting dark vibe here, cool stuff. i would have like to hear some other percussion(open/closed hats etc)

@Masuka

couldnt get this one to start playing!!

@TDubz

Nice vibe here and arrangement is cool, i would want to beef up the drums a lil, may be layering up some more low stuf
(lo snare mainly) also your synth sounds could do with a lil more life (may be sum FX like chorus, distortion and stuff)
obviously this track has a certain soft sound.. so slowly softly catchy monkey

@Mistayif

wicked ambience man love it i need some greenery for this one

@Pumice

Like it, original..reminds me of legend of zelda... in space

@code zero

Phatty bruv, i would like some major lazeridge tho.

im on headfones btw so a wak place for feedback on sumthin that needs sub...

Soundcloud

made this last year... wrote it in a day but took ages to sort out the details, the intro was made out of weird turntable sounds and theres some ambient scratches in there too.

@ Lightshapers, thought this was a big tune, liked the simple sample, the intro and the break down were good, liked the guitar before the drop, basslines all good, solid tune, maybe try get some bigger basslines and wobbles in their though.

@Masuka, couldn't get it to start playing, check it out.

@TDubz , not really my preference in Dnb, but liked the drums, maybe a bit louder if anything, thought the wobble could have had a little more flavour but overall liked the chill vibes.

@Pumice, i don't have much to say about this, i can appreciate that other people appreciate this,

@CodeZero, Love shit like this, sounds like a mix of caspa and datsik. Wobbles all good, nice and beefy, like the snare too and the little fx noises you've got in their, makes for a big tune.

@X Hertz, really liked this tune, like the rhythm it's got, especially the intro,sick. The detail in the drums is good, like your synths in it, really like how it builds up to sound like a banger and the subby break down. If anything i would've tried to flick in something a bit high pitch to give it a bit of frequency at times but the vibe going on is good anyway.

Now please, can i get some feedback?

And i'm an amateur so allow it.

@x-hertz:

absolutely amazing tune!! I've looked for something to comment on :p, but honestly haven't found anything worth mentioning. It all sounds good, crisp and well together. BIG UP!

@Cozmo:
lol at the bazinga sample :d, made me laugh hard. Nice bass, but it kinda pushes the drums back. some more percussion and fx to fill up the drums. And some extra snares layered coz now the snare sounds a bit empty i find. Fill it out, mix it down a bit so the main bass doesn't 'consume everything, and you've got a banger sir!

@hooky that track is gnarly, namely the 2nd part. if anything it could use a little more thump on the bass in some form or fashion, but it sounds like you were going for that tinny metallic vibe

@S0VERIEGNTY do you own some sg glass? i have a 2 perc beaker bottom :)

cozmo - BAZINGA! cool stuff. you need to turn the sub bass up (or add some) imo to give it a little more weight and round it all off a little.

hOOky - very sick. would love a copy

@ cozmo, firstly nice one for giving all that feedback!
just checked out your tune, and i agree with the other comment, the bass sounds good but its kinda overpowering the drums, but thats nothing a good mixdown cant fix, also yea id put some more percussion or something in there, maybe little variations in the drums/bass or add a little something more to keep it interesting.

@hooky definately a hard hitting one! not my usual kinda style but i can appreciate the production skills, and it sounds well done, good use of automation on the bass, sounds well mixed too.

heres mine just done this now, more of a track to chill to after a night out, that kinda vibe, nice vocal chops, shuffled drums. its not mixed at all so ignore the mix, lemme know what you think! not really sure theres much more i want to add to it, just make it longer for the final track. feedback appreciated!

@kontigobeats

Very nice. I really like the strings and synth melodies, nice smooth base for mega-relax mode. Good emotional vocal as well.

I just returned this piece of crap usb mixer and picked up a m-audio fast track ultra to use with my laptop while I'm far away from home for the summer. I left my tascam f1884 at home with my drums, and I miss them. Hooked up the new interface and tested it out with my microkorg and it's working. And most importantly the static/noise is gone. I'm a happy camper.
