It's a Marmite thing, he WAS really bad in Revolutionary Road, I thought Blood Diamond was a wasted opportunity. Gangs Of New York was over wrought
and I thought he hammed it up in that.
It's just a personal opinion mind.

He does in a way that he accuses people of being stupid for not agreeing with his point of view.
i never think people are idiots for not agreeing. i think people are idiots for not having the mental capacity to break through their socialization that they think is their original thoughts.

also not being able to differentiate between a difference of opinion and a difference in social programming is a sure sign of idiocy in my book.

Brother, you are being very cruel. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have minds such as ours. Mocking their ignorance is unfair. Let us count our blessings rather than antagonize the less fortunate!

has anyone seen Chris Nolans following? Was reading the synopsis and found one line describing one of the character's fairly familiar
Synopsis: Following is a wickedly clever story of how a young man's obsession with following people leads him into a dark underworld. Bill, the unlikely hero,... Following is a wickedly clever story of how a young man's obsession with following people leads him into a dark underworld. Bill, the unlikely hero, is a marginalized but intriguing Everyman who follows strangers at random on the street. When Cobb, a man Bill has been following, catches him in the act, Bill is drawn into Cobb's world of breaking into flats and prying into the personal lives of their victims. In Cobb, Bill finds a strange companion, part mentor, part confessor and part evil twin. With an ingenious structure that involves flashforwards and doubling back, the film tests our knowledge and understanding just as the protagonist is being duped into an elaborate triple-cross. This first feature heralds in Christopher Nolan a promising new talent to the indie film scene

memento was a fucking amazing film. i didn't like inception so much. too much overwriting. if they knocked out 3/4 of the psychobabble, it would've been a better film. ellen page is easy to look at...

finally got in to see it
maybe thanks to reviews etc had no trouble following it
and some theories about it are way off
dreams within dreams within dreams within dreams at different time scales was a cool idea & there was lots of cleverness
de Caprio, despite my doubts, was very good & convincing
but the Heath Ledger look-a-like was even better
loved the beachside rubble-city scene in the dream basement..would've loved living and surfing there
the stacking of dreamers and creation of gravity was great.
bit disappointing that Cobb & Co weren't shown, however briefly, coming back thru each dream level
btw
if you stayed past the credits
there was a very brief, almost subliminal, cut
showing the top stop
