Cheers, Buffalo. Never thought you would be into Pan Pot. Their last album is huge.

some very exciting minimal techno dubstep remixes are due to emerge in the new year.

Dubstep remixes of minimal tunes, or the other way round?
Or both I guess is the 3rd choice (Loefah remix). See what I did there?

In amsterdam the other day i went to minimal house and techno night, at this pretty famous club, im not sure who was playing though but i am assuming they had to be someone to play there..

I dunno the music was ok, but i feel that there is not enough variation to it, you move to it.. rather than dance to it.. my overall experience of the night was well get pissed, go crazy after 10mins when a tune switches up..

i dunno .. that was pretty much the impression i got as well from most people when i asked them about it.

By all means there was some nice stuff. i do feel it is overated.. and it was tuff listening to 5hrs of it back to back.. especially when i am a sober clout.

but anyways.. open to recomendations, other wise i will stick to my US vocal house.. and dubstep.

New Pan-Pot album is quite fine isn't it? Missed it at the time, but saw it in some end of year lists and picked it up. Best mininal album of 2007 is still Pantha Du Prince though, so good.
Ricardo was good, Efdemin was overated apart from about 2 tunes.
Stephen Bodzin and Shut Up & Dance Updated! also killer. Liked Gui Boratto's Chromophobia too, though it tailed off pretty hard at the end.
Can't remember any other albums that came out this year off hand.

Tune of the year still Petre Inspirescu - Sakadat.
Heater was quite fun, but really shouldn't have been the biggest tune going. Wasn't even HIS best tune, the remix of Hey Conseulo was better.

So yeah, that's my slightly crappy end of year thoughts on Minimal Techno. Probably forgot a ton of stuff, such is life.

Just general little things, even midweekers, don't have to big big DJs, just wanna have a couple of drinks and hear the tunes out! Think I'm being blind...

yeh i would say get on Sud's mailing list and also watch Plastic People... midweek Kompakt nights, they had Koze the other week, and Sundays there are sometimes things too. T Bar is good often but v expensive to drink and can be a bit arsey in vibe (although sometimes amazing in vibe)

So I'd like to experience a minimal night at Plastic People. Can someone tell me when there might be one coming up?

Can't stop listening to the latest False (Matthew Dear) is album, brilliant, heard him live a week ago and it was one of the sickest nights i've ever had.
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?
