@ kayadubz - not a fan of the vocal in this mate as i think it ruins an overall good track. could maybe make the snare a bit punchier too
@Akkep - BASS!!! just my sorta track dark and basssy very nice indeed love the hats. Funny that you have that siren sound in your tune as the tune im looking some feedback on also has that siren

@DODo - love shuffle effect the hats have. makes the tune move along nicely.
This is something quite different. Very different to what im used to making so would just like to see what you guys think of it

it just seems a weird choice of song, at least for the style of track I thought (very subjective opinion o' coarse)

Worked on this today, lemme know what you guys think
(some of you might have heard another tune by me with this name before. That one is now 'Gengar' and this is actually gonna be 'Charmander')

@Jack a tron - Pretty decent. I like the ideas and it sounds very old school which I like. Mixdown let it down and the track didn't 'gel' very well. Didn't feel very smooth and weren't any decent hooks to really keep me interested. Not a bad attempt overall but not great.
@Akkep - Felt very amateur to me. Hated that kick sound and the mixdown was really poor. Not really much to say about this one. I mean there's barely anything going on and the things that *are* there don't sound good. Sorry :\
@D0do - This is more like it. The melodies in the intro are cool but when the bass drops I'd have liked them to go away for a while just to keep things fresh. Mixdown isn't *great* but it isn't bad either. Seems like a very rough early addition of a track but what you have so far is definitely promising. Flesh it out, make it longer and polish the mixdown and it will sound saweeeeet.
@Hoppa - Firstly, the reason we have the feedback threads is because, as you can see, the forum would be totally inundated with people spamming their tunes if we didn't and it wouldn't be a production forum any more. If you want a whole thread dedicated to your tunes you can start one in the subforum 'Dubs' rather than 'Production' which is what your in now. This forum is really for producers to discuss software/hardware, techniques and tricks and the like. Hope that clears that up for you

As for your track, I'm liking the vibes it's got going on. Feels quite basic but some nice ideas. Snare is way too quiet, as are a few other things. Sounds like it was made on a hi fi that lacked low end response so you've over compensated leaving you with a mix that sounds a bit clumsy on my speakers?? Are you using monitors or hi fi, or god forbid, headphones? Song construction is probably the strongest point, that and all the elements feel like they come from the same song. Which might not sound like much of a compliment but believe me it is, a LOT of tracks posted here feel like bits from 10 different songs all jumbled together.

@nylle - beautiful track, i wouldn't change anything.
@rubiconguava - another beauty:)
@hendrix - brilliant idea, really like the part 0-1:15, drop@0:37 is insolent! reverb, mix and stuff is not the best but idea is dope! the another part starting after 1:15 - delete it:) finish it.
mine is here, not sure to finish or not:S

EDIT: removed and finished

Couple of tracks in my sig, the mixes wont be good, neither will be the Eq etc, just basic drafts of a couple of ideas. Thoughts?
(I'll review some stuff tomorrow, too tired, gotta revise for exams... sigh)

Daisy-Chain, really like the drums! diggin the little reversed hits you threw in there. the bass wasnt really wasnt my style but i can tell its mixed nicely. i feel the second drop should have somekind of switch-up from the rest of the track. but other than that, really cool song!
martello, i love the strings in the intro! really fitting of the track. the bass is nice. i would probably turn down the synth that over top the bass down just a tad. i like the second drop
paravrais, I like your drums and overall layout. I like the strings and plucks you put in there. adds a oriental feel kinda. there was just enough changes in it to keep me interested which is a good thing
Jak-a-tron, I like your use of the Amen break! big up for that. the little vocal sample is pretty cool too. overall seems pretty chill. not sure if you were going for that. lol
Anyway, done some more work on my remix. tell me what you think.

Cheers

@D0Do love the idea and everything thats going on that main snyth the little "blocky guy" id liek to see more going on with him just change ups in that..(yes i made the snyth a he just now) over all great start unique sound.
@Akkep very smooth nice man... yeah get to all the arrangement imo id like to hear some more going you have a great start here.
@kayadubz glad to see some strange use of samples .creative man really..nice use of panning. the snare sounds a little funky but really if you like it thats all that matters. i like all the snyths going on
@jak-a-tron great idea just make that snyth have more power i find this one to have alot of potential it could be a VERY powerful song
@paravrais very chill nice bass

i like all the snyths i cant really complain other than could use a few changes ups.
@martello love the oldschool feel excellent intro and nice sample ..throw in some more change ups and there you go i wouldnt scrap this if i where you.
Heres what i got... still working on this one... im pretty sure its done if anyone agrees do say! other than that have at it! (my sig is what it was before)

lol! Im using some fookin nice mackie monitors. They are quite extremely flat in their response.. I use a sub to make up for the ungratifying low end of the monitors..
I cant see that the snare is too quiet.. pretty loud here.. i have kept away from having the low end punch to give the track a slightly more live feel.
I think its more me than the sound in my room
"and all the elements feel like they come from the same song" - this is the thing ive been trying hardest to acomplish.. cheers
heres the latest update.. a bit of arrangement change at the start and some other small touches

dj hoppa: that sub is huge, those snares are great too. i cant really find any faults with this so far, but i think i would like to hear those vocals a bit louder over everything else. cant wait to hear the finished track!
weedcali: that intro was beautiful. your first bass sounds more like an actual bass guitar than a synth. your saw synth bass thing is pretty sick too, but also seemed kinda simple if youre going for that dirty filth wobble etc. sound. really like how you sampled those vocals tho great job
kid strange: this tune is veerrrry heavy on the subs but i like it dude. lots of originality and creativity. like those melodies too but the sub is kinda overpowering everything actually imo D:
sorta less dubstep more garage feel going on with this current WIP posting it anyway tho heh
Soundcloud
havent added any kind of bass to it yet. those kick drums resonate so much that i forgot to add in a sub or something

@Jak-a-tron: - Loving the vibes, cant fault the production at all in all fairness, maybe just try to keep it interesting, mix it up a little.
Paravrais: - Again nice vibes, feels a little empty however, (my opinion of course), but a good use of space, percussion could do with a little mixing up, keep the listener excited.
martello: - Nice clean production, was half expecting it to drop into a stanton warrior tune, you could do with pulling the the percussive elements out a little more in the mix, the snare especially.
Heres a wall of sound from me I started working on ten minutes ago.
Soundcloud
Try not to critique the mix as of yet, like I said shes ten minutes old, more of the sounds and style

Cheers.

@NICORISONE - Future Warz is the one you should focus on

Need louder compressed percussion, and track is almost done. Love this smooth wobbling mid-bass. Really enjoyed and following+

Thank you. and yes i know the bass is acoustic. i used boobass for it. is there a problem with that?
