Yeah I actually don't like the original all that much to be honest. Its a little too subdued to me, sure the bass is massive but there's not a whole lot else going on. The VIP BANGS.xlyr wrote:BECAUSE THE VIP IS ABSOLUTE MADNESSDevry[Kaneda] wrote:

Nah mate. Will probably have to cop it off discogs to be honest.sc0tty wrote:Surely you can pick it up from records stores still?droogie wrote:I prefer the original. On a side note if anyone in this thread is willing to sell give me a shout
Its become quite rare, unfortunately and mine arrived kind of wonky when it was new (noticeable wobble when playing) and now after all these years that I have rinsed it it is showing its age.charliefoy wrote:Nopesc0tty wrote:Surely you can pick it up from records stores still?droogie wrote:I prefer the original. On a side note if anyone in this thread is willing to sell give me a shout
all about the bassline. no need for much more if you have a big bass sitting there.Maccaveli wrote:Its a little too subdued to me, sure the bass is massive but there's not a whole lot else going on. .

Horrorshow doesn't really help prove your point to me, it has more going on in it than Badman. There's a tension that's constantly building in it, the atmospherics are amazing and there's so many subtleties hidden in it. I just think Badman lacks that, which is strange cos atmospherics and subtleties are what I normally love about KM. Case in point:vulvavibration wrote:all about the bassline. no need for much more if you have a big bass sitting there.Maccaveli wrote:Its a little too subdued to me, sure the bass is massive but there's not a whole lot else going on. .
yeah i'll bet. really tempted to pay like £30 on discogs, but just checked and there's absolutely none even up there. why is this so rare?!??hendramarshall wrote:^^ to each his own i guess... badman/distant is one of my most cherished records... to me its dynamic, is full of energy, and builds a tense atmosphere (cmon that sample is badman) before releasing a unique style even in comparison to other KM tunes...
lol i bagged the last one that was up last weekscattybeanhead wrote:yeah i'll bet. really tempted to pay like £30 on discogs, but just checked and there's absolutely none even up there. why is this so rare?!??hendramarshall wrote:^^ to each his own i guess... badman/distant is one of my most cherished records... to me its dynamic, is full of energy, and builds a tense atmosphere (cmon that sample is badman) before releasing a unique style even in comparison to other KM tunes...
also because the chances of it getting a repress are so small since swamp81 has moved away from this sound significantly, same goes for one of us/six degreesdroogie wrote:lol i bagged the last one that was up last weekscattybeanhead wrote:yeah i'll bet. really tempted to pay like £30 on discogs, but just checked and there's absolutely none even up there. why is this so rare?!??hendramarshall wrote:^^ to each his own i guess... badman/distant is one of my most cherished records... to me its dynamic, is full of energy, and builds a tense atmosphere (cmon that sample is badman) before releasing a unique style even in comparison to other KM tunes...
I think its rare simply for the fact that they didn't press many and anyone who has it,loves it and don't want to sell. And obv cause there's no digital, all obvious reasons but i thought id state them anyway!
