Just a lot of real estate dedicated to shit I don't use. Still a daw is so expansive, there may be things about it that are brilliant for me. We'll see, when is the demo released again?

Looks like you can minimize everything though. I'd rather have docked tabs that I can collapse instead of a bunch of overlapping floating windows that I have to drag around. I really dig the Bitwig interface actually, from what I've seen. I like the inspector that gives you relevant info and options without having to root around in a right click menu.

Yeah, the inspector is something I'm not interested. Who knows, maybe I will find it useful. We'll see, there really is only one way to tell.

Right now I'm weighing the pros and cons and delving deeper into the world of sleeplessness and waiting to see if the demo will be out vs. laying in the fetal position trying to go to sleep while periodically checking to see if the demo is out. I'm actually not that hyped on Bitwig, but it has me verrrrrrry curious. I'm not totally sold on the GUI either, looks a bit toyish if that makes sense.

It does. It looks like a one monitor app. Sorry dude, I don't sit in cafes making beats on my laptop, I've got a studio with plenty of screen real estate.

I never go into cafes just for the sheer fact that I know I'll see some bro with a macbook pro (not that there's anything wrong with that) but like, you know what I mean. But yeah, I wish they did something different with the interface. I always though Ableton was a little too plain-jane, but bitwig is a bit too much. IMO logic is the sexiest DAW. I'm a cheap PC guy though, so ya know. To me logic is like that one really hot girl from high school; I've never used her, but she looks real good and I'd love too.

It should be out any minute now! Soon I'll be able to try out this awesome modulation system, I hope it's all it's cracked up to be.

Reformatting my computer soon so I may have to cop this demo when it drops... looks interesting, but idk whether I'd switch from Cubase.

It's really not as much like Ableton as I thought it was going to be. At least from what I've seen so far.

Interface is really slick actually. Macros built into every device so you don't need to group them into a chain if it's just one. When you swap between Arrange, Mix and Edit windows, it remembers what's in the bottom dock. It just feels really well thought out.
Bit weak the the sampler falls prey to the same issue as Ableton's with no independent time and pitch stretching.
Feels like Ableton went out and fucked FL, Cubase, and Reaper and isn't sure who the father is.
Can't get it to make any sound, but that's pretty trivial.
