storytelling.

besides selma blair being naked alot, it was not that great.
kind of typical messed up stuff from the director of happiness.

This England= Great, there'sa thread already on it so I wont go into it here.

Black Snake Moan = Looks and feels like one big long Jack Daniels add or an excuse for Christina Ricci to go Blonde and get her knorks out. Can't recommend the film as a whole but Ricci looks fookin hot.

Death Note (the 1st film) Not as good as the manga but damned faithful to it. Bloody good.

The Parallax View -- fecking great.

Superbad -- not so good. Steven Seagal films are funnier.

I've just moved into a new flat and trying to educate my new flatmate. Her favourite film is Grease 2. Not Grease, Grease 2.

Over the wkend we watched Alien 1-4, Big Trouble In Little China, They Live, Bubba Ho Tep, The Thing, Basket Case, The Descent, Scanners, and The Fog.

Remarkably, they were all her choices. Even more remarkably, zero-budget grindhouse shlocker Basket Case was the only one she liked.

saw that the other day. good film, bit drawn out but still good. not sure what the moral is meant to be but i don't think it'd discourage people from selling smack.

gonna watch oldboy soon, need to get round to it
