not really, he's comparing two things in a kind of esoteric way which doesn't really make sense.
The difference between the free base and the salt form is completely different to the difference between two chemically different compounds such as water and hydrogen peroxide.

The salt form is sniffed (obviously) and has to pass through membranes in the cell walls in order to get "into" the body and into the bloodstream, and the process is also limited by how fast the salt dissociates (HCl) from the active compound. The freebase however doesn't have to go through a dissociative process whereby the salt (HCl) is removed from the base and also goes straight into the bloodstream through the much more permeable membranes of the lungs. Therefore that shit goes to you much faster in much higher dose, so hits a fuck ton harder.

The difference between the salt form and the freebase is actually a bit more close to the difference between water and ice (not really but in this context it is). It's certainly a lot more similar than the difference between H20 and H202.

yeah i'm gonna +1 to hugh and mason, elite is way wrong. sure, sometimes a minor change to a compound can result in vastly different effects. like for example, a migraine medication (sumatriptan) i take is literally a dmt molecule with an added sulfur dioxide and nitrogen. relatively minor change, but obviously it functions nothing like dmt

but in this case, absolutely not lol. changing a substance from a freebase to a salt does not change the way it works in the body in any other way than allowing different routes of administration. a freebase has a lower boiling point which allows you to smoke it better, while a salt is much more soluble in water, which allows you to snort it and stick it inside your lips, etc. the salt form is also much more stable

Around here, crack became popular during the 90s when the government started to take down chemestry companies that were refining cocaine. Around here it only contains traces of cocaine, the crack smoked in the us is different, more like unrefined coke, hence why some people think meth is worse.
