I mean his beats can be good but also a bit derivative. His rapping hardly reaches any genius levels but he's not bad either.
Pretty much my opinion on him TBH...Love Lockdown aside, as I've already mentioned.
Surprised by Love Lockdown. I dunno, That doesn't really do much for me as a track.
Production wise, it's the only truly innovative thing he's done IMO. Minimal Hip Hop, not the standard flip-a-soul-sample stuff.
Yeah it's interesting production wise and was quite a bold move by him. However I just don't feel the actual song itself is very strong.

 friend asked me who I really hate in rap last night actually and all I could come up with was Macklemore but he's more of a pop star. Tbh, yeah I'm sure there's plenty, I just can't pull them off the top of my head because I'm typically not thinking about things I HATE all that regularly.

This may be the worst thing I've ever heard.

Even the inclusion of a bottle of Buckfast in the video can't save it

Be was fucking boring.

Also it was mainly Kanye beats so you're being hypocritical here.
Nothing against Kanye beats tho i said some of them are decent, and be was decent imo. The Dilla beats on that do stand out tho.

TBH mowgli is one of the mcs i rate the most and is from the uk :-p . hyped with the stuff hes doing with old apparatus.

Ugh, the rapping is so boring to listen to on that . It's just a load of pseudo intellectual stuff with flat delivery and no flow like pretty much all UK hip hop

El-P is a good shout. been making good shit since funcrusher plus (1996) right up to now with Run The Jewels (2013). MCing, production, curating. Def Jux was absolutely..erm..definitive.
Jehst had no-where near the longevity, though has has written one of UKHH's best ever verses (2nd verse city of industry)
Roots slightly better but still only 1 / 2 classic LP's right at the start
all IMO ovsbsfdsv

people don't realize he actually has an incredible amount of good music. Although I guess if you don't like trap then he's just not for you.
