For reals though, cool things happening in the lone star state... I helped get a major weekly started in Denton of all places... Pubstep w/ 4D, Welsh Embassy, and Bastard Mike is solid EVERY week. Wish I could still get up there... (I used to be Fuzionmuse...) Gritsy in Houston with the wall of awesome... Mad Classy, Weight, Run DMT, etc. In the ATX have the party vibe on lockdown... DFW w/ Dub Commission, Dub Assembly, R4WR, and everyone else... Not to mention all the great producers like Blixaboy, D-Queue, Sines, etc... Massive ups everyone... I just try to keep up!

Yeah, Austin definitely runs things as far as Texas, and most places, goes. That a city of 700,000 has 5 very successful dubstep weeklies (my tuesday clears $2500 reliably) is completely ridiculous, but its awesome as well. On wednesdays there's even a Brostep show and a "Don't Bro Me, Bro" non-bro show, within quick walking distance of each other.
