yeah lol safe, I really like that Viers one, it has grown on me

Dunno if I like the Unklone stuff tho, I got a couple earlier tunes he gave away and they are a bit too hard even for me lol. The new Metrist one is the best Fifth Wall for me

ye its defo a grower, first heard it and i was like "this aint up to standard" heard full thing and i was like "yes m8, subtle"

ye the old tunes were pretty face melty lol. decent tho, couldnt listen to a lot of techno like that tbh. i can hack about 15 minutes of facemelty techno in the rave b4 i get bored, even at peak face chewing hour

i got bgored of crunchy warehouse techno unbelievably quickly

when u experience a lot of it in the right environment it just boils down to a series of severe and unrelenting duffs and crunchy distortion, its not that interesting (imo). maybe is just cos i associate it with alright its 5 am im still mashed but im at that point where im bored of being mashed and i just want to smoke a spliff and struggle to eat half a pizza but im stuck here with all these gurning idiots being pummeled by this boring kick drum

still got time for the interesting percussive stuff, some bmb tunes n that. even tessela and truss is pushing a bit for me these days

speaking of which, was at some microhouse thing last night. warm up dj (and by warm up i mean 4-5 hours probably. dude was playing before i got there and i caught like 3 hrs or so of his set) was playing these mental tunes with like tribal-like perc at times, clangy noises etc, really good stuff imo. then the headliners came on and started playing deep house and some garage house (not 5 panel tho). was cool for about half hour or so, then it got so so boring. totally ruined the mood of the night imo. left at like 6 am ffs. don't get why some people act like deep house is the greatest music ever created

it's great but not for a whole night imo. playing that at like 5 am is not the one tho. time to pull for some dubby shit by then

i saw someone (either cosmin or martyn, cant remember which one it was cos i saw them at the same time) who played LOADS of tribal mental clattering wooden perc tunes for over an hour. omg man it was so sick, most interesting house / techno ive heard in ages. the sorta 4x4 that u have trouble recognising its even 4x4. didnt recognise a single tune l0l. actually i think they mighta played red sand by jack sparrow.

also do u mean deep house jefferson marshall or "deep house" julio bashmore? neither is the best music ever created but actual deep house is pretty cool. newschool pretend deep house is extremely extremely wack

that's the good thing about the AnD EP. It's really varied. That was just the only tune I could find on youtube, it's the most straight forward tune of the bunch. Really good EP percussion wise, varied but yeah, generally bleak and distortion a plenty throughout.

I only have a problem with that crunchy hard techno when there's no real groove anymore.
For me that's what makes a track hit hard. Maybe at 5am it's distorted acid with hats louder than
kicks, but not before that :)
