looks like there is some kind of rubber coating on the bar, and it says the bar is hollow
that would probably be a bad idea
try to get a solid 1 piece iron bar with a simple knurled handle

also if you plan on getting an oly bar later get a 2" dumbbell bar then you can use the same weights on both

first week back after a 4 week hiatus (the longest break I've had in about 3 years). I can't believe how much strength you can lose over such a short period of time.

I need a new strength plan
