Re: System April 21st
Well I enjoyed myself over the weekend.
Was good to see/meet everyone throughout the day. Managed to actually get fairly on the way to being drunk before we even left BM Soho actually too. haha
I was in an absolute fucking state by the end of system.
Ended up sleeping at someone's house in the same room someone played psytrance till 10am in. I Fucking hate psytrance.
Went for a slow wander around London and into Phonica to have a look for some techno today. My brain couldn't really take listening to techno that well. haha

Next one is in June? By then uni is finished and if I have a job I will definitely be heading down. Never been to a specialised night like this (Scotland has no equivalent), it sounds incredible!

Re: System April 21st
Yeah some amazing moments from system. So not with it enough to really write yet. And DEFINITELY not with it enough to handle jury service in an hour...
But yeah, awesome night. Cant lie, there were quite a few times where the sound got a bit monotonous. They were obviously having trouble with the mid/tops I thought, and there was the odd stretch of a few tunes having very little change. They seemed to be going for it more at this one I thought, some bits got so intense...all about the moments where they bring it back down for me. Quest - Stand was 100% the tune of the night for me. Sucked me completely out of this world...was mental
And OH MY GOD the first half an hour after the dub at the start had finished was totally unreal. The first 5/6 tunes just full blown, fuck me I cant stop moving classics. What was it at the start? Like, hunter, ruffage, kalawanji and unborn? Something crazy like that...mind blowing stuff
Was a bit confused by some of the choices of track to get played again from the last system! I dunno, expected new fresh bits like unborn and soundman VIP or something to get rinsed again, but the skream roots dyed dark remix was a weird one to pull out the bag! And the distance remix of changes again was a bit disappointing. Just not as good as the original or james blake remix
Basically, soooo many amazing moments, like kalawanji, Stand and (oh my fucking lord) the bassline on education
and so many others, but I dont think the rig was quite right and it made a few stretches of tunes a bit too much for me!
Anyway, theres loads more. So many moments I could mention, but as previously mentioned...I got jury service now...fuck me...I aint ready

Fuck mate, that's deep! Got a similar one on my phone of the same moment. And one where the camera is on someone's lighter in front of the lens, and then Babylon fall bassline blows it out on the dropJohnlenham wrote:

Re: System April 21st
ahh that videos amazing. That tunes stand against war right? Another utter piece of vibes that was...
In fact I think it was that tune (might have been another) where after the drop I had my eyes shut for ages, just couldnt open them...was so intense. Then when I finally did theres loads of lighters in the air and its really fucking surprising to be able to see shit lol

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.
