Not my thing but sounding like a good start, I think you need a bit more bite in the drums, try layering a few different snares and kicks.

I'd love any feedback people have to offer.

Cool track. One thing I do feel though is that each bar needs to be a little bit more 'defined', ie a more definate 1-beat at the beginning of each bar. A heavy kick or crash or something. At the moment, especially in the section before the vocals come in proper, the bars sort of flow together and lack a danceable beat.
That's a good call, appreciate it.
I'll keep that in mind as I get back to it.

Definately finish the track though, I love that song so it would be a fun one to have to play once its finished. Good work isolating the vocal too if you didn't use an acapella!

it isnt dubstep but it contains wobble ouch.

It's a cool track, I can imagine a crowd dancing to it in a club. I like it's rhythm and it has a nice flow. I think it'd deserve a strong 7/10.
Not that I'm a pro artist or some shit. I like the track, but the vocals get too repetitive after the second third of the song.
Hip-Hop had the advantage of being born before the age of information (the internet).
It had time to develop naturally into the complex subculture it is today. Dubstep didn't have a chance.

That is sweet. I like the tune and the rhythm of the drums. It has a very nice mood and feeling to it.
It's worth finishing, really.

Should there not be a work-in-progress section in the Dubs forum, where each WIP has its own thread?

I love the guitar + dubstep concept. Haven't heard that one before. I love it, it really is nearly finished.
I like the wobbles, I like the drums, I like the percussion and love the guitar.
I'd love to hear the final result!

Nah.. that'd end up like /b/. People would have to bump their own threads in order to gain attention.
I'm not saying that the way it is now is good - I'm not satisfied either - but at least I don't have to bump my thread to make it get on top of the list with the other bumped threads.
I do understand what you mean though.

Hi guys, I'm working on a ssllooww and sad song at the moment, and I am so effing tired, I'm afraid I'm going to ruin the song.. but I don't want to go to sleep yet.
It is a work-in-progress, and this is really just the beginning of the song.. this isn't even a sketch.. it's just the first couple of lines on the paper.
You can be as harsh as you wish, just don't flame..
Thank you!

Thanks man, most def.
I'm going out of town for a week, which should give me adequate time to let my brain relax on it. Then it's back to the final pass!

There should be an unblockable popup when you come to this thread, that would clearly state the rules.
Something like DO NOT POST YOUR WIPs IF YOU HAVEN'T MADE ANY FEEDBACK! KEEP THE THREAD ALIVE! THANK YOU!
Or something less "angry".

I don't mean to be an asshole or a forumnazi, really, but the rules are: Don't ask for feedback until you have commented on at least 3 WIPs.
Sorry again.

iconomy - aurora

like the sub alot!

bongos are eq'd well sit nicely, in fact all most all the drums are... maybe the kick could do with a bit more beef before the little break (but that probably on purpose)

like the synth pluck, pretty chilled out and the delay on one of the snare hits gives it good effect mate

the melody line maybe could do with a bit more variation maybe.... the video then fucked up but a very decent job mate

sounds quite hip hoppy... maybe its just the imediate prejudice i have cos i can here someone rapping...

I am not the big a fan of the snare maybe could do with a bit of verb to make it less short and upfront (bit less of a volume)

a bit of a build to the second bass would be pretty good too, just sort of takes you by surprise.

i like the sort of turntable style hi hats, but the actual hi hats maybe could be a bit less shrill, or that could just be my hedphones...

and cos i listen to pop in my free time, add like alicia keys doing a hook line or something (i hate the new york song but everyone else likes it)

ignore the last bit

and just cos its a new page and i want feedback, heres mine http://www.mediafire.com/?jkzlhzeezmm
